  I want to say Joe goes over and above for his customers! Me and my out of town guests were so pleased with him! We live here and we will shop here more often because of him! I also have a friend who just moved into the garrison area and he said he will be shopping here because of Joe! Go Joe! I’m finding that management handles situations very well here, but the employees look miserable and they almost make you feel uncomfortable when you are shopping there nobody smiles nobody’s helpful. Nobody says hello I think retraining the staff to be friendly will really help this Save-on-Foods location.

  This is regarding the conduct of one of your staff members, Madisson. I was waiting in line at the till to pay for our groceries when I suddenly heard someone loudly shouting, “Go out! Go out!” I was shocked and turned to see what was happening. I then realized that the person being shouted at was my husband, who was standing near the entrance while holding our small dog. I clearly saw and heard how he was spoken to in front of other customers. It was embarrassing and humiliating. Although we understand that pets may not be allowed inside the store, the way the situation was handled was unacceptable. My husband was not shopping inside the store. He was standing near the entrance while carrying our dog and waiting for me to finish paying. If your store policy required him to leave, your staff could have explained it politely and respectfully. Instead, he was loudly told to “Go out!” without any courtesy or explanation. We respect your store policies and have no issue following them. Our concern is the disrespectful and unprofessional way your staff treated my husband. No customer should be spoken to or embarrassed in that manner.

  I have always enjoyed shopping at Save-On-Foods Garrison, which is why this experience was so disappointing. While my wife was paying for our groceries, I waited near the entrance with our small dog in my arms. I was not walking around the store or shopping inside. A staff member named Madisson approached us and simply said, “Go out! Dogs are not allowed here!” in a rude and disrespectful tone. There was no “please,” no explanation of the store’s pet policy, and no courtesy. I completely understand and respect that the store may have a no-pets policy. My concern is not the policy itself, but the way it was enforced. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, even when they need to be reminded of store rules. After the incident, we spoke with a supervisor whose name I unfortunately did not get. I appreciate that they listened to our concerns and sincerely apologized for what happened. Their professionalism helped improve the situation. We are regular customers of this location, and I hope management provides additional customer service coaching so that no one else has to experience the same treatment.

  Went to self check out at this location today, I come in regularly and I’ve noticed a lady named Val who works around self check out has a very negative attitude, mean demeanour, she is loud, looks aggravated a lot of the time. I could overhear her talking to staff negatively about other staff. I left the store feeling uncomfortable. I regularly shop at this Save On and haven’t had a bad experience. This is not the first time I’ve felt this way with Val at this location. I’m hoping there is a resolution to this so I don’t keep coming in feeling this way as this is a convenient location for me. I hope this is something that gets addressed, thank you for hearing my concerns and thank you to the other save on staff for being amazing at this location.
