Absolutely insane experience of drive through employee arguing with me and trying to refuse to give me what I paid for. Wouldnt go talk to person at window who took my money to verify Id paid for it. Just wanted to fight in the drive through. Completely insane behavior.

I have been dealing with inconsistent service at this McDonald’s on Luckakuck Way for nearly 10 years, essentially the entire time I have lived in Chilliwack. At this point, this is not an occasional mistake or a bad shift. It is a long-term pattern of poor order accuracy, inconsistent product delivery, and customer-service failures. Over the years, I have experienced: Extremely slow drive-thru order turnover, even when there is little or no lineup Incorrect and incomplete orders Cream and milk being mixed up in coffee orders Incorrect amounts of sugar added to drinks Poor staffing during busy periods Staff discussing personal matters around customers Little or no acknowledgement of customers while staff are occupied with other drive-thru orders Repeated difficulty simply communicating and confirming relatively straightforward orders The frustrating part is that this location can provide good service. In fact, the good experiences have historically outnumbered the bad ones. That is what makes the continued inconsistency so difficult to understand. After almost a decade, however, the same fundamental failures continue happening. Update — June 8, 2025: I gave this location another chance at approximately 6:30 PM and ordered three McFlurries through the drive-thru. I had to repeat the order approximately four times, yet the order was still incorrect. I went inside and calmly explained the problem. The person who appeared to be handling the situation immediately told me that the order would need to be refunded and I would then have to pay again for the corrected order — before even reviewing the original receipt. Eventually the order was addressed, but even the correction was wrong and we simply left. I do want to recognize the employee who later came out to the overflow-order area, handed us the order and apologized. He handled a problem that was not his fault professionally and respectfully. That employee demonstrated exactly the sort of customer service this location needs more consistently. If he is not already in a supervisory position, management should seriously consider developing him for one. Update — August 31, 2026: Another visit, another preventable order failure. This time, an entire child’s Happy Meal was missing from our order. We did not discover it until we had driven approximately 5 km home. I called the restaurant. Communication with the person who answered was extremely difficult, but the restaurant ultimately acknowledged that the Happy Meal had been left out. There was even a name associated with the order, so this was not a case of an unidentified or confused transaction. For a restaurant whose core business is accurately assembling and handing customers relatively standardized orders, repeatedly missing items and getting orders wrong is unacceptable. What makes this particularly disappointing is that this is the McDonald’s closest to my home. Convenience should make it the obvious location to use. Instead, after experiencing the same kinds of problems for nearly 10 years, I would rather drive across Chilliwack to another McDonald’s than continue relying on this location. Everybody makes mistakes. Restaurants have busy periods. Employees have difficult shifts. I understand all of that. What I no longer accept is the same basic service failures occurring repeatedly, year after year, for close to a decade. This location does not need another apology for an isolated mistake. It needs management to determine why order accuracy, communication, staffing and basic service execution remain so inconsistent after all this time. After nearly ten years of giving this location more chances, I have very little confidence that my order will be correct when I leave the property. That is ultimately why I can no longer recommend this McDonald’s.

No toilet paper in one stall, broken handle on other stall so one out three stalls available in women's washroom. One soap dispenser empty and freezing cold water. Ordered on screen in store and the coffee was black when cream was ordered. The lady working said she didn't know "what the f was happening this am" and was exhausted.

Absolutely horrendous experience while trying to grab a simple McDouble meal in the wee hours. Ordered a large fries and got a medium fries. No problem, but then I drove back up to the McDonald's where I got attitude from this person with green hair before I was rudely confronted by a manager named Cillian who told me to go to the US if I don't like the way things are done here in Canada. This was atrocious service and I will be submitting the videos that I recorded of Cillian's behaviour to Corporate. By the way, you owed me $1.20 but you still gave me $1.05! How does a manager of a restaurant mistake one nickel for two dimes anyways? This is now the third location in Chilliwack that I've had to submit a negative review about when I have lived in five different cities and NEVER had so much trouble with McDonald's since I grew up in White Rock! Do better, Chilliwack McDonald's!

This McDonald’s is pretty good with getting your food to you in a timely manner. The only thing is there are quite a few people hanging around asking for money and barely any security to manage it. I personally think they should have at least 1 security guy there 24/7 to help manage things outside. (They only have the griffin security guys pop in every now and then). People have come right up to my window and give a long story followed by asking for money. While there are some people who are respectful of your space, there are some who aren’t and can get right up in your face. I would recommend leaving your windows up unless you are being handed your food at this McDonald’s!
