  The staff member working the checkout around 9am this morning had an extremely poor attitude. There is no reason to speak to customers in a condescending manner or make them feel like they're being treated as if they're stupid.

  This store NEVER has fresh corn, and it is corn season, ask a produce worker if any came in and still in the back? All u get is a nope! Won’t even go look 😡

  I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a persistent issue with service refusal at your location at 3433 North Rd, Unit 102. On July 4, 2026, at approximately 9:30 PM, I visited the store to perform a Paypower reload. When the cashier requested the necessary authorization from the manager on duty, Heidi Stirling, she refused to provide the authorization. When asked for a reason, she provided none and refused to assist further. This is not an isolated incident. I previously raised this exact issue with your head office about two weeks ago, specifically regarding the manager’s refusal to provide service during operational hours. Following that complaint, I was assured by your head office that they had communicated with the store and that the store had committed to ensuring other managers would be available to provide authorization for customer services throughout all operational hours. Despite these assurances, I was once again denied service today without cause. It is unacceptable that, despite prior intervention and promises of improvement, the store continues to provide inconsistent and unhelpful service to customers. In my view, Heidi Stirling’s conduct demonstrates a significant lack of commitment to customer service and professional standards. Given the repeated nature of these failures, I strongly believe she is not suitable for this position and urge you to consider further disciplinary action, up to and including termination, to ensure that this store meets the service standards expected of the Save-On-Foods brand. I look forward to your prompt response regarding how this matter will be addressed and how you intend to ensure that customers are not refused legitimate services in the future.

  Unbelievably bad service today while we were returning bottles, bad enough that we decided to take our business elsewhere. We were returning bottles to reclaim our deposit. While we were loading them into the boxes provided, the customer service employee watched us and didn't mention that bottle returns had been closed early. Only after we had finished loading everything did we learn that, despite the posted closing time still being 45 minutes away, they were no longer accepting returns. Closing bottle returns 45 minutes before the advertised cutoff is ridiculous. If the posted hours say returns are accepted until a certain time, customers should be able to rely on that.

  Disappointing experience. This is my usually go to after the gym most days. Now I’ll be switching back to Safeway. An item was on sale for more rewards member. I scanned it at the self checkout and the discount did not apply. I advised the assistant and she said maybe it was a different deal. I advised I read it carefully and it was the more rewards member deal. She then asked me to go take a photo of it. Just a very careless response, felt like it was made my issue rather than a store issue. I would not treat customers like this in a customer service role. I worked a full day dealing with people giving good service so when I’m a customer I expect the same and I’m not asking for very much.
