I am writing this to highlight a consistent and disturbing pattern of behavior by a morning cashier named Nikki. The discrepancy in her service standards is blatant: white customers are treated with extreme warmth and "jovial" hospitality, while visible minorities are met with an immediate, icy withdrawal of basic decency. It is jarring to watch Nikki perform an upbeat "enjoy the wonderful day" send-off for one person, only to pivot to a mean, robotic "items on the belt please" the moment the next person steps up. The "politeness gap" is so predictable it has clearly become a choice. It is 2026; Nesters should be well past the point of employing people who treat racial bias as a part of their morning routine. Nikki’s habit of rationing her humanity based on skin color is an embarrassment to this location and a slap in the face to the diverse community that keeps your doors open. This isn't just "bad service"—it’s racism with a nametag. The nametag says Nikki.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this store today. One of the cashier staff members—a woman with dyed hair (grey in the front and green at the ends)—spoke to me in a loud and disrespectful manner. I entered the store with my young son through the front entrance. He was standing on his scooter while I was pulling it with my hand. I understand that scooters are not allowed to be played with inside the store, but I was worried it might be lost if left outside unattended, so I brought it in with me. My son was not playing with the scooter — he was simply standing on it while I pulled it toward the cashier area to purchase an item. However, as soon as I entered, this employee loudly shouted at me to stop. The volume was extremely loud and felt completely unnecessary. Her attitude made me feel very uncomfortable, especially since my son was not playing with the scooter and we were only going to the cashier area to purchase an item. What happened afterward also made me feel very unpleasant. Overall, this was a very disappointing and upsetting experience. Compared to other staff who are usually polite and friendly, her attitude was particularly disappointing. If we see this employee on duty in the future, my family and I would choose not to enter the store that day to avoid another unpleasant experience.
