Today I had a very disappointing experience. My grandma is celebrating her 80th birthday, and I wanted to buy number balloons 8 and 0. Unfortunately, there were very limited options available, so I had to choose number balloons in different colors. I then waited about 10 minutes for someone to help me with the balloons, but no one came until I finally found an employee and asked for assistance. A staff member eventually inflated the balloons, but the balloons were set to different heights and she did not seem to care much about how they looked. It was not a major issue, and I fixed it myself. After that, I went to the bakery section and again had to wait around 10 minutes for assistance. I asked two employees for help, as I only needed a cake from the display case. Each time, I was told someone would come, but I had to keep waiting. I was already very frustrated and close to leaving when someone finally helped me. I did not plan to leave a review because I understand that today is a holiday, and working on holidays is not easy. However, the final straw was discovering that the strawberries on the cake were moldy. Because of this, my grandma was left without a cake for her birthday, which is extremely upsetting. I will not be purchasing cakes from this store again and cannot recommend it to others. Very disappointed.

They allow preteens to ride their electric bicycles in through the front door and park the bikes inside. I just came out of this store and five boys on electric bikes drove in through the front door. I stopped them and told them to get out. They insisted they had permission to do this Two workers from inside came outside and told me that they have permission as well. Just as an elderly woman was exiting the store. I told the boys they are expected to get off the bicycles and walk them inside. They are not to ride the bicycles inside the store because they can hurt someone. The boys told me do you expect us to walk inside? I told them yes that’s what everyone else is doing. Concerned that this is the practice at the store. People need to be careful exiting because they could get mowed down by electric bicycle. I am handicapped myself, and several elderly folks were exiting the store during my conversation with these boys.

This is for the Von’s Pavilions in AH. I was waiting in the checkout line. It was my turn to begin unloading my items onto the conveyor belt. I had placed 3 items at the very start the belt. I was physically bumped from behind by a woman. No “excuse me” or “I’m sorry.” She had 4 small items in her hands along with her phone & she pushed MY produce forward with her forearm and dumped HER items onto the belt! I told her I’m not even finished unloading my items & it’s not her turn! She said, “I need to send a text!” Oh, okay. By all means, physically bump into me and then push my food up and dump your items on the belt! Then, I began to ask the checker a price question about the grapes I was buying. I started to speak and she held up a produce bag and yelled to the cashier, “Do you see how I have this cheese in this bag? I want you to keep it in this bag!” Talking RIGHT OVER ME!! I had not even gotten to the pay terminal yet! She then proceeded to give instructions to the cashier about how she wanted her order bagged, like I wasn’t even there! She was INCREDIBLY RUDE to me! Then I saw her name tag! She is an EMPLOYEE in their pharmacy! I am appalled that a Von’s employee would treat a customer like this! She apparently believes that she is an extremely important person and she can treat Von’s customers like trash! I have never experienced anything like this in my life! I will never return to this store!
