We've dined here a fare amount through the years and service used to be great, but unfortunately the server the last 2 times was rude and this last time you could tell she didn't want to be there. Being a server for 20 years id never treat a table like that especially when youre getting a $100 tip for literally getting drinks. Other servers were talking to their tables. The food, hostesses, busses and characters were great but the wait staff needs to be looked over again.

We really enjoy coming here for special occasions with our toddler despite the very high cost as he's a fan of Mickey and co. We got his autograph book signed, he had excellent character interactions as well. They had overbooked for Daisy's pajama party though so we had to wait longer and the service was comparatively just ok (it's usually pretty good with banter from servers) and we had to do overflow parking which was bad with a toddler - usually you just get valet parking which is awesome. Speaking of, they should have complementarily parked our car across the street and brought it as well - it's one service they're supposed to provide and failed to do so. The food is excellent though and our toddler ate his fill and then some which was nice 🙂

Wow, Nothing like being charged 300 dollars for a canceled reservation, canceled 2 day's before because the extreme rain that morning and They charge you full price because it's not a 72 hour notice, normally you get charged 10 dollars if you don't cancel, Zero if you cancel 2 hours before, here we are in January and they consider it christmas time so if you cancel you pay full price, My cousin visiting from Oregon didn't notice the insane policy,, I'm not surprised by Disney's corporate greed, I've had breakfast there several times and it's extremely lack luster compared to when it opened, Thanks greedy Disneyland for making our trip horrible.

I visited the Storyteller's Cafe at Grand California Hotel for Christmas Eve. My reservation says "Disneyland Christmas Dinner at Storytellers Cafe" for 1:30 pm. The reservation confirmation says "join Mickey Mouse, Scrooge McDuck and friends for a merry yuletide feast". I was taking my two three-year-old nieces who have been asking daily about when they get to eat dinner with Mickey and Minnie. We arrived a little before 1:30 pm to utter chaos. We were seated at 1:50 pm. As we got our food and settled at the table I began to notice that there was no Mickey or Minnie. I asked my waiter about it and he told me that they would not be out on the floor until 3pm. This was not what I had made a reservation for or what I expected. The kids were extremely upset to the point of pouting and tantrum. Three-year-olds do not understand that if you are at "Mickey's house," Mickey cannot be there. I was put in an unenviable position of telling three-year-olds that Mickey and Minnie would not be there and that there was only Donald and Daisy (they did not know Chip and Dale or Pluto). We planned this for some time, and they were looking forward to dinner with Mickey. My reservation clearly stated that this was the case, and I am very frustrated and unhappy with the way my visit was conducted. My waiter did his best to accommodate but he could not magically conjure Mickey. We had been there about 45 minutes and had not seen Donald or Daisy. He did make sure that their handler sent them our way so that we could leave. There was also no way that I could get the girls to sit in a booth for an extra 1/2 hour, it would have been even more chaotic. This was not the magical Mickey experience I planned for or expected, and it was extremely disappointing. We were looking forward to this to cap off our Christmas Eve; the girls were visiting from out of state and the weather was abysmal, but this was meant to be a bright point. I was hoping for so much more from Disney.

Unfortunately our experience was not up to par. We spent 20+ minutes waiting in valet to start, since GC wasn't prepared to handle valet on Christmas Eve. Very poor planning on their part. Then, we get to the front to check in (we are about 15minutes late due to valet) and we are not taken for another 45+.minutes. this made things very difficult with a hungry family including a baby, 3 year old, 6 year old and husband. No apology whatsoever. No adequate seating to wait. Once we WERE seated, service was so so, drinks were forgotten. For the high price point, I expected more. Sadly, we will not be returning.
