We took the Family for Dinner. The Grandkids had an Amazing time. The Characters came around several times and stopped to play with and hug our 4 year old Grandson. He was so excited to see them, and they really played it out for him. Mini Mouse was Amazing and so attentive with him. He said, "PaPa! Thank you for a really, really, really great night!" Our waitress was all over it and made sure our Son Inlaw was well taken care of with his Gluten allergies. She brought the Chef out and he personally walked the Buffet with him, explaining everything that he could and couldn't eat. Thank you Guy's for making this special for ourFamily. We really enjoyed our time together.

I'm leaving this review for Minnie Mouse. She is wonderful. A character parade around the dining hall had started and she was put in an awkward situation to leave a large family in the middle of greeting them (they required several pictures) potentially disappointing them, or join the parade. I think she chose right, she avoiding disappointing a family with a young child who was about to leave. Then, since the parade was nearly over after seeing them, she visited our table and absolutely made our little girl's day. Unfortunately, when she went to presumably check in, I heard one of the staff say "come on Minnie" in a tone that didn't seem to be a joke. I felt a bit bad for her because this man didn't have all the context and she handled an awkward decision with grace. 5 stars to the Minnie Mouse actress for her grace.

Great for little ones to experience! You need a reservation and you have a 15 min grace period. We went before Disneyland opened but even then the parking garage for Disney took forever so leave super early! There's no way to call the restaurant to tell them you're running late and they charge a no show fee, so plan accordingly. The decor is so cute, its like cartoon stylized plates and decorations at the buffet. We saw chip, dale, and Minnie in the dining area and you get a photo with Goofy before going in. No charge to get those photos vs in the park where they watermark it. They have a wide and strange variety of foods. Mostly breakfast but maybe it changes for lunch and dinner. The pancakes and waffles and such are mickey shaped. They also have absurd sweets available for the kids, which the kids nearby seemed to like for dessert. The lil characters come around for photos and it was adorable! We didn't see Minnie but I'm sure if we wanted to We could've asked. The staff and servers are great and it's insanely kid friendly. I wouldn't go often though, it's so expensive, and not for older kids, I think they'd think it's corny. But a one time event with a little one elementary aged or younger I would say is the best. (Ours was 7 months and likes the mascots but...he won't remember haha)

We have visited this restaurant multiple times and have always left with wonderful memories — great food, fun buffet options, and magical character interactions. Unfortunately, our most recent visit was a stark and painful exception. After being seated, for 40 minutes we watched characters make their rounds to every table in the restaurant — except ours. Our 7-year-old son sat there the entire meal watching other kids light up with joy while he was left out. He cried. It was genuinely heartbreaking to witness. When we raised the concern, our server referenced a 90-minute experience window. The manager repeated the same talking point without any empathy, acknowledgment, or resolution. No one seemed to notice or care that a child was visibly upset. This was our first visit that didn’t feel like Disney. The magic of this place has always been its inclusivity — making every single guest feel seen and special. That did not happen for our family this time. A more attentive and compassionate response from the team, especially when a young child is involved, would have gone a long way. We hope management takes this feedback seriously so other families don’t have the same experience.

I live in NJ and have been a Disney fan for 40 years, 95% experience in the Walt Disney World (WDW). Yes, WDW and Disneyland are two distinct business units in Disney Co. and although many things are the same you can see distinct differences between the two in some places. Goofy's Kitchen is a nice dining place with characters entertaining and greeting throughout the meal. Who wouldn't like a character meal!! But be very careful about parking if your main interest is having a fun meal and stroll around the Downtown Disney area. Goofy's is located in Disneyland Hotel and officially not "in" Downtown Disney perimeter. So don't think you can park at Simba parking lot and get a heavily discounted parking. Yes, if one eat at any sit down restaurant at "Downtown Disney" proper (within the perimeter), one can get parking ticket validated and get 5 hours of free parking, a $50+ value with tax. But since Goofy's is not within the Downtown perimeter you can have this perk. We went to Goofy's yesterday. Our complication was the validating machine was down and the restaurant staff told us just show the receipt to the parking lot exit attendant. The attendant faithfully did her job not giving us any break. Something I have not experienced at WDW. I don't know if I should praise her loyalty to the job or complain she's not customer oriented. I don't quite blame the attendant 100%. After all, she's probably just following her training. I think the system is the problem. In my reservation to Goofy's it had a link to a long web page about parking which is more general in nature and not specifically for Goofy's. I just spent half an hour going through all available Disney website information to understand the patrons should park at the Disneyland Hotel self-parking lot in order to have a 3-hour free parking with parking ticket validated at the restaurant. And that parking lot only. No other lots would give you a break even if you just had 12 people and spent $1000 at the restaurant. OK. Here's my complaint to Disneyland. Why couldn't you make all this clear and simple to people want to have a nice dining experience at Goofy's kitchen? A couple of lines on the reservation confirmation would do the trick. And also why does it really matter that much which Disney owned parking lot I parked to get the parking discount. All revenues get to be reported in one Company performance review, isn't it? Since I'm in the mood I might as well throw in another not related complaint, or is it really not related? Why does Disneyland cancelling the bus service (from 4/1/2026) between the Toy Story parking lot and the entrance of the parks without a substitute service. It's about a mile walk. Do you really think all senior people are that fit??
