Dear Disneyland Guest Relations Team, I am writing to share my disappointment with our experience today at the Disney Princess Breakfast at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. We chose this breakfast specifically because we had attended it previously—prior to the renovations—when it was held at Napa Rose. At that time, the experience was excellent, with fresh food and an atmosphere that felt worthy of a premium Disney dining event. Today’s experience was completely different. We were not informed in advance that the breakfast had been moved from Napa Rose to a hotel ballroom, which immediately changed the quality and expectation of the experience. More concerning was the food itself. The breakfast items were cold, poorly prepared, and extremely limited in variety. In total, we spent over $500 for this breakfast. At that price point, the quality should be exceptional. Instead, the food and overall offering were worse than what one would expect from a basic continental breakfast at a low-budget hotel. This level of quality is unacceptable for a premium, reservation-only Disney experience. This was especially disappointing because today was our daughter’s 14th birthday, and this is where she specifically asked to celebrate based on how wonderful the experience had been previously. Unfortunately, what should have been a special and memorable occasion fell far below expectations. For additional context, our family are long-time Disney guests. We are Magic Key Inspire members, Disney Cruise Line Gold members, frequent guests at Disneyland Resort hotels, and Disney Visa cardholders. We continue to choose Disney because of the consistency and excellence typically associated with its experiences, which were not reflected here. I wanted to bring this to your attention so it can be reviewed, and I would appreciate any consideration you feel is appropriate. Thank you for your time and attention. Sincerely, Ruben B

The food was just okay. It was pretty cold and just something you could find at any buffet really. The princesses hardly even visited our table. All of them were too focused on scheduling or something so my daughter only got to meet a few of them and she was really sad that Aurora and Mulan missed our table completely. The photographer on the patio was really rude too and wouldn't offer to even take our babies pictures. Our waiter was the only good part of the experience for us really! He was super great. But yeah, not work the $500+ bucks at all. Go enjoy more time at the parks and skip this.

The Princess Breakfast at the Grand Californian is pure magic from the moment you walk in. The whole room feels dreamy, with soft princess instrumental music floating through the air and sunlight coming in through the windows. Sometimes there’s even live music, which makes the space feel like you’ve stepped right into a fairytale. The food is incredible... beautifully presented, delicious, and so thoughtfully put together. It truly feels like a royal feast. But even with how good the food is, the atmosphere is what makes the morning feel unforgettable. Watching little girls twirl around in their princess dresses and seeing families soaking in every moment adds so much warmth and joy. The princess interactions are honestly the best part. They don’t rush. They sit, they talk, they tell stories, and they make you feel like you’re part of their world for a little while. You can see kids’ eyes light up when a princess remembers their name or kneels down to talk to them. Those moments are priceless. Everything about this experience feels intentional and filled with heart. It’s cozy, it’s magical, it’s uplifting, and it’s the kind of morning you think about long after you’ve left. If you’re visiting the Disneyland Resort, this breakfast is an absolute must-do. It captures the true Disney magic in such a beautiful, meaningful way.

Was pretty bad but it was for our daughter. The food was bland and the "prime rib" was like deli meat it was so bad, think of a dollar store steak and you are there. This is really just paying to meet princesses so not count the food you aren't paying for that, you are paying for access.

While pricey it was more than worth it. The food and service were phenomenal. Add in the time taken to ensure that all the princesses came by our table to greet us and take a picture was amazing. A must do especially if you're a disney princess fan or have younger children that are.
