Horrible experience. Decent food aside form short rib which was mostly fat. Couldn’t even pull out pieces of meat. When mentioning to the server, she quickly removed the plate from the table. I thought she said “I’ll remove this for you” meaning from the bill, but instead she just meant physically removing the plate. I had barely eaten any of it. When letting her know that, she got her manager quickly Who was actually the problem. The manager was incredibly rude and condescending to me, and when I mention that I wasn’t really checked on by the server, her snarky comment was that she would make sure that the server was written up and disciplined for her actions obviously trying to gaslight me and make me feel bad about it. Frankly, this was not the Server’s fault, it was simply a bad piece of meat that turned into an incredibly dramatic response from someone who clearly should not be a manager in customer service. So if you go and have a problem, hopefully you don’t have to deal with that same lead As she will just have an incredibly unprofessional attitude.

Ensure that you make reservations to avoid wait time. Food is tasty. Highly recommend the short rib. The only inconvenient thing is the restaurant doesn’t provide napkins.

Made reservations, got a cute little table in the corner.
First time eating hair
And I will say I would love to come back !!
Food was extremely good. The french fries were amazing. ! Our Monte Cristo and beef braised short rib was ridiculous!
Best part of the whole thing we’re using our Disney redemption $ for a free meal!

I held off on writing this review until I heard back from Disneyland’s customer service. I was surprised at the lackluster response, so I think the review is warranted.
We had several less than magical experiences with our reservation at Cafe Orleans. First, there seemed to be a staffing issue that wasn’t communicated, our server switched mid-shift and it wasn’t explained to us. So we spent a while trying to figure out who our new server was at the time. Our food took around 40 minutes to arrive. My risotto was warm and delicious, but my wife and son’s food were lukewarm.
The shift change and long wait were reasonable considering how busy the park was, but there was one final issue that failed to deliver on the magic of Disneyland. In the shift switch confusion, our server did not realize it was my son’s birthday. There was a Mickey cake as part of the reservation on the app, and we had to remind him. But that still wasn’t a major issue. However, when the cake arrived our server set the cake down, lit the candle, and walked off. We were left awkwardly singing happy birthday to my son on our own. The cake tasted absolutely incredible, and we loved the Mickey shape, but we were left a little sore about the experience. Particularly for a dinner that totaled nearly $200 for a party of five. Not to mention the nearly $2k we spent on the trip total. We hope that this doesn’t single out any particular server or cast member, but points toward more of a systemic set of failures as a result of an unclear staffing issue.
Further, I hope this feedback helps the Cafe to continue to deliver on the experience of magic at Disneyland, and that no other young kids are faced with that on their birthday. Our fandom with the Disneyland experience remains firm, and we have park reservations for my birthday in November, so we are hoping this criticism is both constructive and productive for future experiences at Disneyland.

After a long day of being at Disney and California adventure we decided to stop here for dinner although we did not have reservations. We joined the walk-up list knowing we were going to wait for a little while (roughly 1hr after joining) which was fine. After that 1 hour mark we were still waiting and didn’t receive our messages that we could check in at the host stand. We waited almost another 45 minutes after that 1 hour mark when finally we got a message to see the host. They told us they were running behind and that it would be another 15-20 minutes to be seated. We were finally seated in that time frame but with how busy it was, our server didn’t get to us for another 20 minutes. We ordered and waited another hour to get our food which was ridiculous. When we asked why it was taking so long they said that the kitchen didn’t know what they were doing. They were running out of food and had to comp many orders including ours. We got our food and you could tell it was rushed. My boyfriend’s shrimp pasta plate was very small and rationed. I ordered the monte cristo which was good but also seemed pretty rushed and tasted like oil. The fries and sauce were pretty good but I can’t complain much since we were super hungry. They did comp our bill by $30 which was nice of them.
In my opinion, you should definitely try to reserve if it’s a super busy restaurant in Disney. Either that or go at a time that isn’t prime lunch or dinner. I would try this place again if we didn’t go at prime dinner and compare. The server was very nice and friendly which we appreciate. It’s a shame the kitchen was a hot mess. You’d think for a place like this in Disney they would know what they’re doing!!
