This is clearly the best restaurant in all of Disney, hands down. The Monte Cristos are legendary, served with raspberry preserves. The pommes frites are garlic-loaded and awesome!

Okay spot to eat at Disney. If you’re looking for vegan food, this place has great vegan and GF options. However lamplight lounge by far has the best vegan GF food in the whole Disney resort.
My partner and I came here twice. First time was great, no issues and we both had an alcoholic beverage without hassle. Second time however was quite frustrating. We both wanted to order a beer because it’s stupid hot and so many rides are down.
I was asked for ID, which is reasonable as I am 22. I showed him my passport as I don’t have a drivers license, and I was able to order. However, our server then refused my 38 y/o partners ID (this seems to be a Disneyland rule, if you are not a US resident you have to have a passport, they don’t take drivers licenses so keep that in mind if you are from outside the US and wanting to drink). But the thing we don’t understand is why my partner was even asked for ID in the first place when he in no way looks under 21 years old, he is 38, and looks no younger than 28. If the issue was that I didn’t have my ID, that would be a different story, but I did, so it makes absolutely no sense that he would not allow my partner to have a drink.
The passport rule is really stupid but not the Cafes fault. However, the thing we are most frustrated about is the fact that he was unwilling to resolve the issue, we weren’t offered to speak to the supervisor or anything. My partner had a valid photo ID (which he rented a car with but can’t buy a beer with?) and a picture of his passport. AND our server was actively giving alcohol to people beside us without IDing them at all when they looked younger than my partner!!! This just felt like a punch in the face lol.
Remember to bring your passport and hope it doesn’t get wet on Tiana’s bayou adventure if you’re a foreigner and wanting a beer at Disneyland 😂

We really liked the food that what we got: the shrimp Alfredo (delicious), gumbo (great), and beef (good meat but came with only 3 asparagus that were not good). Unfortunately, poor ambience and lackluster service. In hindsight we could have probably just done quick service. Had to ask for water refills, get attention of server, patio not that cute, etc.
Hot tip: Ask for a large bowl of gumbo. They only show the appetizer size on their menu, but you can size up.

We made a reservation on a weekday. They asked us to wait since we added 1 person to our party. We waited for 30minutes. After 30minutes they told us to wait for another 30mins. We’ve been waiting for pretty much 45minutes, table is still not ready and they told us that there’s really no accurate time how long it’ll be. So we told them we want to cancel the reservation. Luckily they didn’t charge us for cancellation as it cost $10 per person. Maybe next time we come back to Disneyland we’ll be lucky to dine as I heard food here is great it’s to why I made a reservation for our birthday event.

Long time Disney visitor. I have to say that as the years go by, we continue to notice quality of food declining. This time we noticed that the short rib now no longer comes with mashed potatoes, it has been downgraded to white rice. Look, I'll pay the high prices, but stop the cheapening of the meals
