  I had a frustrating experience at Chipotle Mexican Grill that honestly shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place. I ordered double chicken and asked for Al Pastor. While it was being served, I could clearly see the portions between the two scoops weren’t the same — one was noticeably smaller than the other. Since I’m paying extra for double protein, I asked the employee if they weigh their meat portions to keep things consistent. She said they don’t. I then asked if she could either add a little more to even it out or remake the cup so the portions were actually equal. Instead of helping or trying to correct it, she refused and acted like the request was unreasonable. The lack of customer service made a simple situation unnecessarily frustrating. What’s disappointing is that consistency in portions should be basic training in a food service environment. When customers are paying extra for double protein, they expect the portion to actually reflect what they paid for. It’s kind of sad that management hasn’t made accuracy more of a priority when it comes to portions. Precision tools exist for a reason, and in any setting where measurements matter, people use them to make sure things are correct. When it comes to food and nutrition — especially for customers who track what they eat — knowing you’re actually getting the protein you paid for is important. This could have been resolved in seconds with a small adjustment or a better response, but instead it turned into a negative experience over something that should be standard practice. Management at this location should probably take a closer look at training staff on consistency and basic customer service.

  Chipotle in general is pretty solid and this one was better than average. The service was very polite and the portions were on point. Who knows if every crew working there is good but ours was.
