My ride left because of Safeway only having one cashier and when he left he had a hard time getting out because they have you locked in. When he did finally make it out security tried stopping him to check him and he told security to get bent then security came and told me I could either leave right now or go have a talk with my ride. The lady at checkout was nice and got me through fairly quickly for being the only cashier working. Believe this when I say Safeway security guards taking there job far to seriously and need to back off unless they seen the person stealing. In this case they didn't see him steal because he in fact does not steal.

So I bought a pre-made sandwich from Safeway at the Delhi section. They refuse to give me Mayonnaise or mustard. So I have a dry sandwich. Courtesy really sucks. Bad attitude with worker in the Delhi section won't ever come to this Safeway again. Now keep in mind, everybody knows that Safeway is my one of my favorite spots, but this one is definitely off my list.

Is it just me or is this Safeway like the most expensive Safeway in the East Bay? It might be because I'm just broke and everything is so expensive now. Anyway, now to my review! This place is clean. It has it's own pharmacy and has such a huge diversity of selections that it will cause such variety exhaustion. I like their deli selection of premade ready to eat foods except for their sandwiches. They are ALL DRY! Except for the egg sandwiches and tuna sandwiches. They don't include packets of mayo or mustard in them so I have to ask the sandwich people for packets and most of the time they don't have them so I'm left with he most mouth drying sandwiches for lunch And that's the only reason why this isn't getting a 5.

Huge shoutout to the incredible staff who supported my colleague and I in purchasing bulk Thanksgiving items today (11/19/25). We came in without much of a plan nor notice and everyone was so helpful in sourcing items from backstock and helping load everything onto a dolly. You made Thanksgiving so much happier and delicious for over 35 families with young children. I've always found this location to be clean, organized, well- stocked, with great customer service. We will be back!
