  First time coming here and I will say they did an excellent job!! Me and my partner came in and shared a Cajun burger and Sweet Bacon burger. They both were great in flavour and toppings. The buns are also great, they don’t get soggy and can hold the double patties with all the fixings. Service was awesome, everyone was very personable and super sweet! We got checked on and were chatting with one of the lovely employees who can carry on a conversation and just make you feel very welcome. The atmosphere is very homey and gives you the old time vibes of a burger and shake place. Also super clean!! We got the Cajun Tots as our side and the seasoning they use is great, very savoury and a hint of heat. My only suggestion would be to cook the tots a touch longer for more of a “crunch” but the overall flavour and bite is still really good. Overall, super impressed with Wayback burger and their staff! I work as a chef for my job and I’m very picky when it comes to food and definitely when it comes to burgers. We will definitely be back and I think if you haven’t tried, you’re missing out and need to go down ASAP!!

  Found it on Google and decided to try it, along with my wife and a friend. It absolutely exceeded out expectations. The food was incredible, everything tasted homemade. I got the classic burger with fries, and both were simply delicious. The service was also flawless. The entire staff had this warm and welcoming energy. It was an amazing experience and I'm definitely going back.

  This place EASILY and handily exceeded my expectations! Those expectations were set VERY low by other places... This place is NOT one of those. The burgers are EXCELLENT, and a generous helping of fries! The real winner is that milkshake - the way milkshakes SHOULD be. The service was awesome, too. Word of warning: it's a new place so there's the occasional bug with the till, or the ordering system glitches out - the usual starting "features" of new places. But the staff are right friendly, and atmosphere is relaxed and conducive to enjoying the amazing burger you just purchased! Remember to take your time; perfection is not instant. So go easy on them, and enjoy the experience of the burger, not just the taste!

  Stopped by after a Costco run and was honestly blown away. The food was fantastic, I had the Double Bacon Burger and it was fresh, perfectly cooked, and super flavorful. The onion rings tasted homemade, and the Red Velvet shake was unreal… probably one of the best milkshakes I’ve had in years. What really stood out though was the service. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and you could tell the team genuinely enjoys working there. Great experience overall, will definitely be back!

  Tried Wayback Burgers recently and walked away… underwhelmed, to put it politely. To start on a fair note, the kids’ meals were actually solid. The chicken strips were decent, and the burger seemed to pass the very honest and unforgiving “kid approval test,” which is no small feat. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The Chicken BLT arrived… inverted? Not a dealbreaker, just odd. What was more concerning was the portioning. The chicken looked like a single breast that had been sliced into halves or even thirds, leaving it noticeably undersized. The bacon was nearly transparent and limited to two thin slices, which made the whole sandwich feel more like a suggestion of a BLT rather than an actual one. The Buffalo Chicken sandwich followed the same theme: minimal chicken, a sparse piece of lettuce, and a lone tomato slice that could enter the realm of cherry tomatoes . The only thing in abundance was the sauce—completely overwhelming the rest of the already modest ingredients. Overall, while the kids left happy, the adult meals felt like they were built on cost-cutting rather than quality or value. For a place centred around burgers and sandwiches, that is a tough miss.
