- SAShelly AshmoreAug 22, 20261.0I don't know what's going on with the Dairy Queen in Sundre. They used to be really good. Last time we got burgers, fries, and gravy to go, there was hardly any gravy, everything was cold, the fries weren't cooked all the way through, and the burger was not that great. Then we went there for a strawberry sundae. When we got our sundae, there was just a little drizzle of strawberries on one side. So when I went back a couple of days later, I asked them, "This is how they used to make it back in the day when we were younger: you put strawberries at the bottom, then some ice cream, and then the strawberry and sauce on top." Now that's a strawberry sundae. Lol. A few times we have gotten their Blizzards, and I tell you, they have gone downhill. My strawberry cheesecake had just a little bit of cheesecake and strawberry on top, and the rest was ice cream at the bottom. My husband got a Reese's Blizzard, and it was the same thing. Today, August 22nd, he went to get some Blizzards. Mine had no strawberries and hardly any cheesecake, and it was the same for my husband with his Reese's. I don't know, are they cutting back? Are they hiring people and not training them on how to make them? Oh yeah, and I don't know why they put those lids on instead of the dome cups. Is it so you get less? When they first opened up, and months after, I was very impressed with the quality of the food; now, not so much.

Lid kinda fell off and made a mess. It was my fault and I admitted it, I was prepared to eat it as is. Manager said, No, it’s no one’s fault and immediately called out for a new chocolate sundae to be made. He reminded me that we all make mistakes and it doesn’t matter! No big deal. He didn’t even think for a second, just made another one. Smart man, thanks for reminding me how awesome life is.
