- BPBecky PrudenMay 6, 20261.0Came here tonight for some food and drinks. I walked in, sat myself (as instructed by the sign at the front), and began looking at the drink menu. I was sitting there for quite a while; several servers were walking past, ignoring eye contact, including the bartender. The second my partner walked in and sat with me, I stated, "I've been here for over 15 minutes and they haven't even came yet". Perhaps they overheard, because suddenly a server came to ask us how we were doing, and if we wanted to order. Like girl, I've been here for this long, and you just notice? There wasn't any eye contact or acknowledgment from any staff beforehand. I don't like to assume sexism... but the second a man walks in, you have attention? But a woman sitting there ready to order some wine and food, you can't be bothered? I tip better than him anyways! Lol. It was off-putting. I always assume crappy service is at the fault of the management, and not training their staff properly. So hopefully the management here can take the advice and improve whatever they're doing now. Food was sub-par, the other Original Joes locations in edmonton were much better.
