Our waiter, Matthew, was great. It was nice that the manager came by our table to introduce himself and ask how things were. The atmosphere was friendly and a good place to bring kids. I appreciated that we could bring in a birthday cake in for dessert. We used to regularly eat at Montana's but just don't eat out as much as we used to. The food was still tasty, but to me the plates seemed more bare than I remember. I enjoyed my chicken burger - sometimes with chicken burgers you can get a bite that just doesn't taste or feel right, but this burger tasted great right through. Overall, Montana's is still enjoyable on the whole and is one of the few places that I will still eat out at.

Not sure what happened that night, but it honestly would have been better if the restaurant had just closed its doors. I felt bad for the servers—they were clearly overwhelmed—but being busy isn’t an excuse for food taking over an hour and arriving cold.
We watched three separate tables get up and leave before their meals even arrived, which says a lot. I’ve never seen a service breakdown this severe at a restaurant of this size.
Hopefully head office sees this and steps in to address what’s going on.
Do better!

My husband and I went to montanas in st. Albert for date night. It was super busy but we still didn’t have to wait for a table. Our server was Steven and he was absolutely amazing! He checked on us often, he looked around before leaving a table in case any of his other tables needed something (which we did) and he saw us and helped us right away. Honestly I think Steven made our experience that much better, we even found out we had something in common (pc building). This made us feel like we were among friends. We’ll definitely be back and we hope to have Steven as our server again. Honestly words aren’t enough, but Steven made our evening ❤️

Went there for a 7 years old birthday party, made a reservation for 10 people. Parking was difficult. We got seated quickly but we waited for 2 hours and none of the adults got our meals. By the time we left the restaurant wasn’t even full. When the bill came they gave us a few coupons for 10$ off a 30$ order or more, which we obviously won’t use. They had many many tables that showed up after us got served faster and got out. They didn’t comp anything. My dad’s been going there for years and we will never go back to this location. Horrible service.

Unimpressed to the max. Came in for Mother’s Day meal with family. My husband ordered the seafood platter and an absolutely inedible battered fish. Sent it back, came back the same. Also sent it back. Everyone was done eating so we didn’t request another meal. Manager had said they would take care of it. When the bill came we got a measly $7.95 off, which was not what we had understood or feel we deserved. When I asked what happened I was told this is what the manager had said we were entitled to. We were in a big group so I didn’t want to make a stink, so we paid our bill without complaint. But just a terrible experience with lack of follow through.
