Gristly fatty meat and very small portion sizes for fillings. I keep giving this place a chance because I love Chipolte, but every time I’ve ordered (8 since it’s opened) I’ve had most of the meat in my food be straight fat and gristle and with very minimal filling portions. Today the meat in one taco was all fatty gristle with a huge vein in it. If the meat snaps back like a rubber band don’t serve it, it’s disgusting. Here is a picture of the taco “meat” from my taco today. This location needs to train their staff on acceptable meat quality and portion sizes.
I ordered a kids meal with chicken. My receipt said “kids chicken meal”, however I received no chicken. I kindly informed them that they did not add any chicken. They told me I had to pay for it, and I did so because it was my first time eating chipotle. I had no clue what was right and I thought that the workers knew better than me. Of course, they did not and overcharged me 5 dollars for chicken. I checked the app menu and my receipt and was shocked that chicken WAS included with the meal. I went back and tried asking for a refund and they lied to my face and told me that the kids meal comes with everything but the protein. The worker acted very snark-ily and told me that the app menu contains 3 sides, while in store only had 2 sides! I don’t appreciate the workers lying to our faces. We had to call another location to confirm whether we were wronged or we were in the wrong. Thank god another location manager treated us with respect and did not lie to us. Be careful and check your receipt! They don’t care if they over charge you and will lie about it. They had horrible customer service until they were caught in the lie. I recommend calling another location if they lie again. P.S train your staff on the correct way to make the order - what is extra and what is included in the meal!

After always traveling into Edmonton for chipotle, we were so excited to have one in Sherwood park! Well we gave this location two chances, and both times came back with super small portions. Not even just in the meat but with the rice too!
I’d rather travel a little further and get normal portions than have these tiny sizes.
Ordered a bowl and burrito on skip. Got two bowls no burrito and the second bowl didn't even match the ingredients requested in the burrito.
Compensation offered was extremely stingy they didn't seem that concerned that they messed up the primary job of a restaurant completely.
I was going to give the food a 3 because I found it very average but to be fair I didn't get to eat what I ordered. The person who did said it was pretty good compared to other similar places. So I'll give it a 4. The meat was colder than typical for delivery though.
Worst food delivery experience so far this year.

The line was long, but it's only been open a few days, so we can forgive that. Same thing with the new staff that's still getting their feet under them and are a little slower in service. It will all come with time.
But the food ...
My WORD was it salty. My carnitas burrito was so salty I couldn't finish it, so I set aside about 2/3 of it and went to the chips and guacamole. The chips have crystals of salt right on them, too, and the guacamole was the worst culprit. It was clearly not fully mixed, because parts of it were so salty it was inedible.
Thank goodness neither my wife and I are on salt restricted diets, and it's mostly a taste concern. I don't see the point of all the fixings on the burrito, all the components of guacamole, etc. if you're just going to drown all those flavours with salt.
We'll give it another try, perhaps, in six months and see if things change, but ... wow. Honestly, I've never once had guacamole, in literally about a hundred restaurants in Mexico, California, and Canada, that has been this salty. Nothing even comes close. My wife accidentally put twice the salt than the recipe asks for in her own guacamole one night, and it was 100% more edible that this guacamole. We ultimately chucked almost our entire meal out.
Edit: my wife has asked that I include that virtually everything has cilantro in it, so if you're a cilantro fan you'll be in heaven, but if you're in that 16% or so of the population that find cilantro to taste like soap ... like she is ... good luck!
