Wasn’t greeted at all by anyone as I walked in. Not the bartender who looked directly at me, nor the sever who I never seen look out to where I was at the patio. I waited almost 15 minutes. Long enough for me to look over the full menu online. Terrible service. Terrible experience

He got the teriyaki bowl but they don’t advertise they put a second sauce throughout the rice, had we known he would not have ordered it as it completely changes the flavour of the teriyaki. I ordered the chicken, which I didn’t even receive a knife to cut it with, after I requested one and tried to cut through it was so dry the steak knife struggled with it, there was enough salt to burn my tongue on the broccolini and the potatoes were quite cold. The waitress did remove this from our bill since I didn’t eat it, I then ordered a burger with a poutine and salad, the burger was okay (fairly standard similar to Dairy Queen in flavour) but the fries were so over cooked that even with the gravy I could barely get my fork through it. At this point I started laughing cause what else could I do We then had to flag the waitress because the salad I ordered didn’t come out with the meal, after that we realized my fork was taken with my first meal and I had nothing to eat the food with so my husband had to find the waitress to ask for a fork. After all this when the waitress came the next time to check the food I was close to finishing my salad and she took the plate and bowl when I still had food left, but didn’t clear any of the cups from the table throughout the meal. So they just accumulated.So my food was gone but our empty glasses were still there. Overall I had given up hope about halfway through this meal and it took around 1-1.5 hours to get our food and eat. The waitress was nice enough but I would genuinely not recommend this restaurant as it was arguably the most frustrating dining experience I’ve had.

It was 5:30, so not overly busy. Ordered the original burger, hand cut fries and coleslaw. I felt there was a lot of value being able to choose 2 sides. Food presented well, but bun was way over toasted. Very hard and crunchy for a brioche bun. Burger was borderline over cooked. Almost seemed like it had been precooked and just thrown back on the grill. The fries seemed the same, previously cooked, then refried. Not enjoyable at all. I was anxious to taste the coleslaw as it was a generous portion, but quickly disappointed. It had zero taste, no zip, zing or seasoning at all. I added pepper in hopes of improving, but nope. Left most of it. Seems like they could do so much better. Great venue and large size for bigger groups. They need to seriously look at their food prep. When I first arrived in Red Deer 16 years ago, OJ's was the first place I ate at. It was actually memorable. The best nachos I ever had, great wings, nice drinks and very great service. The waitress really knew how to read the room. I came back a couple years ago, bragging to my daughter about the nachos. They went from hero to zero like that. I don't even know how they could even serve a sad looking plate like they did and expect people to want to order it again.
