  My friends and I were talking earlier today about how rare it is for restaurant staff to actually enhance a meal. Too often they slow things down, add little charm, and leave you waiting for attention. That’s a big reason I usually default to fast food. Boy, did Montana’s blow that expectation out of the water tonight. The entire staff was high-energy in the best way. The hostesses at the front were all smiles and genuinely helpful—you could tell they were enjoying themselves and took real pleasure in taking care of people. Two team members especially stood out. Danica has a personality that should be bottled. Even though she wasn’t our server, she was bubbly and energetic every time she came by, smothering us with attention and making sure we were well looked after. Our server, Jake, was excellent. He smiled the entire time, kept our drinks full without us having to ask, and had my all-you-can-eat ribs ready whenever I needed more—always before I even asked. Our whole group agreed this was the exception to the rule. Fantastic experience. Thank you!

  We visited the Montana’s on our way through Hinton last weekend (Sorry for the late review). We were greeted by smiling and friendly hosts, who seated us promptly in a booth by the bar. Our server was Nik, she was very friendly and gave us spot-on recommendations from the start. What really blew us away was that she wasn’t just a server, she was also the bartender. She got us everything we needed in a timely manner while also managing the bar, clearing tables around the lounge, and we overheard her helping answer all her coworkers' questions and concerns. She was also great to talk to, and we hope she has a lot of good luck with her job and studies. We had a manager come check on us, which was also nice. Would visit this location again in a heartbeat; keep up the great work!

  food is great and service is great , however I catch certain employees staring at me throughout the entire time i'm trying to enjoy my meal whispering amongst one another and looking away when i see they are looking at me (has happened on multiple occasions), servers i don't know on a personal level or even acquaintance have asked me personal questions that made the entire table uncomfortable. It's a real bummer that i can't even sit down and enjoy a dinner/meal with family or friends without feeling uncomfortable by multiple of the staff. There are multiple servers and bartenders that have made me feel at home and safe, and they serve me beautiful and delicious food, which make want to come back. however i do find it extremely unprofessional to be whispering and giving rude looks to your costumers. therefore these past couple experiences have left me quite hesitant to come back.

  Overall, the food and service was average. We had a wait time given of 20 minutes and we received a notification at 21 minutes that a table was available, so spot on there. We were seated and had a server with us a few minutes later. The server took our drink order, skipped me however and began to take the food order. No issues, I just had to interject my drink order before the food order was taken. Drinks took a little long to get delivered, I will say they were busy. Their drinks are the highlight of the visit. Very good! For the food, I had the 12oz striploin with mashed potatoes and coleslaw while my table mate had the Mac and cheese with buffalo chicken added on. My steak was more medium than medium rare (not a huge deal to me). I will say the steak was marinated and heavily seasoned. I have not had many marinated steaks before, I tend to prefer not marinated but I gave it a try. I didn't mind the steak, I felt it was average / good in terms of taste and quality. The potatoes were slightly below average in taste and consistency, I felt they were very reminiscent of cheap, instant mashed potatoes. I am a self-proclaimed connoisseur of coleslaw and I actually didn't mind the coleslaw. Good balance to it. My table mate liked their dish, however, nothing stood out about it. We would come back, but wouldn't go out of our way to do so. The server did check in on us, but didn't go above normal service norms to make sure we were taken care of.

  Great food and excellent service, the serving size is big, Abby our server is very nice she explained the menu clearly, made suggestions on what to order, she was able to do a check back after a few bites which I greatly appreciated, I told her we were there because of a family member’s birthday then they sang for us, the staff was very enthusiastic we had so much fun. We were not able to book over the phone because they are still setting up their phone at the time but when I stop by to reserve a long table they were able to accommodate right away. This is a brand new restaurant nicely built, the ambiance is cozy and very relaxing. The price is very reasonable I am looking forward to next time when we eat again. I want to also thank the manager I think his name is Ahmed wearing the blue long sleeves for taking care of us when we have questions.
