  Great bar at the hotel! If you’re staying at the hotel, I definitely recommend visiting. We had a wonderful evening here with friends. The ribs were absolutely delicious, and we really enjoyed all the food and drinks. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were attentive and friendly. It’s a great place to relax after a long trip and enjoy some delicious food.

  Took my 1.5 year old son for a lunch date today. Not our first time eating at Montanas in Hinton however, it was our first time having Serivia as our server. She is hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had! She made my son and I both feel so welcome and he truly thought the world of her! Montanas is very lucky to have her. Food was great as usual too! We will be back again.

  The food here is good and the staff were very friendly, but our experience was marred by how management handled a mishap. Shortly after sitting down, our waitress accidentally spilled three full drinks on 3 of the 4 of us at the table. This included my son who was nearly in tears because he was soaked. While I was in the washroom helping him dry off and cleaning myself up, a manager came over to our table, apologized to my family, and explicitly said, "I'm so sorry, the meal is on us." Accidents happen, and we completely understood. We stayed, ordered our meals, and enjoyed the food. Our waitress was clearly embarrassed, but she powered through and kept taking care of us. The real issue started when the bill arrived at full price. When we mentioned what the manager had promised, we were told that manager had already left for the night. A second manager then stepped in and offered $10 off. When we questioned this, he made excuses about how difficult it is to apply multiple discounts in their system. He eventually authorized a bit more off (around 35% total), but left the server to awkwardly shuttle back and forth to deliver the news instead of stepping up to manage the situation himself. We never expected a completely free night, but making a clear promise to a customer, leaving without honoring it, making excuses about software, and leaving a visibly flustered server to take the heat is poor leadership. Great food, but management severely needs to work on accountability and supporting their staff.

  Me and my family were looking for a spot for lunch and we saw Montana’s BBQ & Grill. We ended getting a platter with pork ribs, 4 different sauces on the side, with mashed potato’s and fries. Our waitress Serivia was really nice and interactive with us during our time there. We are from America and have been hiking on the trip and she gave us a bunch of local advice of different stores, trails, hot springs etc. If I’m being honest she was more than waitress and more of an old friend willing to help with our questions unrelated to the food. The food itself was really good and definitely was made with love and care. The dirty sodas REALLY hit the spot, especially this pink looking one in the photo (forgot the name lol). If anyone is local or visiting Hinton, this spot is definitely one to check out and stop by. Highly recommend 😋

  Ate two meals here. Lunch was awesome. The service was fast, friendly and thorough! The chicken burrito bowl was awesome and the burgers while sloppy looked real good! Dinner was another story, it was very busy and to even get a drink was a pain. Once I had servers attention in general she was pretty good. Friendly at least. Now lets be honest Montanas isnt an amazing steak house but my steak was pretty not great and not even cooked right. Some wine drunk woman was going off that she wasnt getting enough all you can eat ribs. It was not a great dinner but I will right that one off as growing pains for a new place in town. A Montanas is a Montanas, its like the Boston Pizza of steak houses. Safe but nothing mind blowing. It is nice inside, bright, clean, new. Generic steakhouse motif, big as well! Lots of seating!
