- LHLindsay HowattJun 18, 20265.0My Husband & I went with a few of my in laws & a friend of ours & a few of us got a few drinks each, if you got a meal & a drink & maybe an appy it wouldn’t be as much per person. Got the fish tacos as a an appetizer, I shared my 1 with almost everyone at the table (swapped out the pico de gallo for cheese, ABSOLUTELY amazing !! We were trying to order a few orders to go but it got mixed up so we only got one full order & I was very sad that it was going my parent in laws cus they wanted food since we were out & visiting GP (from GP & only been here twice). My Husband & brother in law got the shrimp rigatoni (I tried it & it was amazing & they got poutine on the side), our friend got a burger grilled cheese I believe & it looked amazing with the knife in a folded pickle on top (poutine on the side), my sister in law & myself got the pistachios salmon & she had sweet potato fries & I had mashed potatoes, it was absolutely amazing, absolutely LOVED the maple butter & the garnishes on top of the samlon. For our appetizers we the coconut calamari (I didn’t try as I don’t like calamari but the rest of the table were quite thrilled), I had the 1 fish taco that I shared with all but my Husband as he was preoccupied with the calamari. We had a variety with everyone, wine, the banana rum drink, a raspberry vodka one which was my first one & it was wayyyy better then the mango ginger beer one that I got (I swapped the ginger beer for ginger so, but I could taste ginger or something strong, they even tried adding mango purée to it, everyone except my brother in law tried it before the purée to it & no one liked that haha. We had I think a variety of all the desserts between us all, I tried them all minus the brownie & my favourite was either the mocha pie with expresso ice cream & another ice cream (ice cream cake) & my Husband’s Cinnamon Roll thing with pecans & rum butter (I re showed him & got him interested in that). All in all everyone is very glad that we came to town & came here after swimming. Everyone loved the food, the atmosphere, & the staff. We were the only ones there. Our server was absolutely amazing, she chatted with us about where she lived, the joy of working life away hah, & kept telling us to drive safe. When she realized that we wanted 3 order of the full order for tacos she said that the kitchen was closed but was going to see if they could make it but my brother in law said that it was fine & she was asking if we were sure & that she could see. She was absolutely amazing, super accommodating, friendly, & just super respectful. Laura thank you for making a wonderful evening for all of us.

- RRRae RJun 4, 20263.0State and Main can be pretty good, but it's just not consistent. Ordered the butter chicken twice, a month apart. First time it was really good, great flavour and good portion size. Second time I ordered it, it was almost no flavour and all spice, with a smaller portion as well. The server also didn't know what dishes he was serving which was honestly kind of entertaining so I didn't mind that. The burgers are aight, the Cobb salad is pretty good, the appies are mostly too expensive imo for what you get. But apparently the white sangria slaps, so that might be worth going.
