I came in to buy a few things and wanted to buy a cake. No one was at the pastry counter so I asked another employee if someone could help me grab my cake. After another few minutes an older man walks up and says “what do you want.” ??? What happened to hello? How are you? Anyways, I tell him I want a cake. He puts on one glove, no hairnet or anything and hands me the cake. I thank him and he just grunts. Paid for my items, get going home, and there is what looks to be arm hair on it. Gross. Returned it. Not impressed by the service of the man which looked to be a manager. The cashier was nice.

Stadium Save on Foods recently donated to our Staff Appreciation event at my school. We are beyond thankful for that type of community support. It means a lot! Thankful for their team and the recognition they gave us. They equally deserve that same recognition.

I’ve become increasingly disappointed with the customer service at Save-On-Foods, specifically at the cashier tills. Whenever customers bring their own reusable bags, the cashiers refuse to bag groceries. However, if you purchase bags from the store, they suddenly have no issue bagging items for you. I always assumed bagging groceries was simply part of the cashier role, so this policy (if it is indeed a policy) feels inconsistent and confusing. What bothers me most is the attitude and lack of communication surrounding it. On one occasion, I politely asked a cashier if she could bag my groceries, and she became very short and snappy with me, as though I had asked for something unreasonable. If policies have changed, that’s fine , but customers shouldn’t be made to feel embarrassed for not knowing that. The overall checkout experience now feels awkward and rushed. They’ll take your payment, stand there while you scramble to bag everything yourself, and then immediately begin scanning the next customer’s items without asking if you need help or even giving you a moment to finish. I’ve even tried placing my reusable bags clearly at the front of my groceries, only for them to be pushed aside without acknowledgment. I’m genuinely unsure when or why this became the norm, but it makes grocery shopping feel far more stressful and inconvenient than it needs to be. A little communication, courtesy, and customer service would go a long way.

Visited this store on Saturday, March 14, 2026. First, got harassed and mocked by some Girl Scouts who were at the store entrance doing some fundraiser, who giggled/laughed at me as I was entering the store. Since when does Save-on-Foods allow their customers to be treated disrespectfully and harassed?! Then, at the till, when I was bagging my groceries, after my purchase, the cashier did not give me my receipt; she just threw my receipt in the garbage. She didn't give me my receipt, she didn't even asked me if I wanted my receipt or if I wanted her to throw it in the garbage; she just decided, out of her own accord, to not give me my receipt and to throw it in the garbage instead. Since when does Save-on-Foods decides to deny customers their right, as consumers, to get and see their receipt to make sure the prices they got charged were correct? This store is a complete joke!

There are no savings at this store. Everything costs more than it does at superstore. They also distractedly need a self checkout. With only one checkout open it takes forever to pay and leave. The barrage of girl guides asking for money as soon as you enter and again when you leave is also extremely off putting.
