- AGAngela GrewalJul 14, 20261.0( today around 12:30) I am writing to make a complaint about my experience at your Orchards location today. I ordered a takeout cheese pizza. While waiting for my receipt, I watched an employee handle cash and the receipt printer at the till. After I stepped outside, I could clearly see through the window that she went directly from the till to handling the pizza dough without washing her hands with soap and water first. When I brought this to her attention, she told me she had used hand sanitizer. However, I did not see her go to a handwashing sink, and I explained that I had watched her go straight from the till to the dough. Instead of acknowledging my concern, she argued with me. She offered to make another pizza, but I declined because my concern was about the food handling practices, not just that one pizza. I requested a refund instead. I explained that I have cancer and am especially concerned about food safety because people with weakened immune systems can be at greater risk from poor hygiene practices. I have been a regular customer at this location and have ordered from here many times with my family. This experience has left me very disappointed, and unless I receive reassurance that proper food safety procedures are being followed, I will not be returning. I would appreciate it if this incident could be reviewed and if staff could be reminded of proper handwashing procedures after handling money or other potentially contaminated items before touching food. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
