- BBBobbi BottaroJul 1, 20261.0Usually happy here but on Canada Day they dropped the ball! I worked in a restaurant all day and decided to go out for dinner. My husband ordered the steak sandwich, bread on the side ( his usual order) when it arrived the fries were not even warm( we asked for fresh ones) garlic bread was on the side but you could see the steak had already been on the bread and removed before service…. Must have sat in the window a long time because it was like a crouton! We asked for a fresh piece. My husband ate the steak even though it was barely warm. They were busy and it would taken too long for a remake. The new fries came out twice, two different servers. ( both were cold again) literally not even warm and seemed like the fryer oil needed to be changed. New garlic tst came about 20 mins later and it was much better. My chicken burger was ok ( not very hot). I know they were busy…. Before the server cleared all the plates we asked to see a manager. We were told the manager was on vacation for 3 weeks….. ok…. We asked who was in charge? “No one really…. I could see if the bar tender can come over”. No one came….,I have been a server for 10 years and I understand the craziness of a stat holiday! However that should be accounted for with full staff and a manager…..we won’t return to this location. I’m usually pretty for giving when a restaurant is busy, but no manager, obviously no expo ensuring the kitchen is putting out quality food is leaving their servers in a bad spot……

We were one of two tables on the patio… and restaurant inside seemed quiet too… so I’m not sure what the issue was. Our waitress was MIA for the most part. We needed to ask for cutlery. We were waiting quite a while for our food and drinks to show up. One drink that was ordered never even made it to the table. Hopefully with patio season just beginning, they figure it out.

She was very in top of ensuring our drinks stayed full. Dishes were cleared any time staff members walked by which was nice as it freed up space on the table. All four meals were delicious - the food was fresh and hot. Will be glad to return again.
