If there's more than two cars in the Drive-Thru then you're sitting there for about 15 minutes it's kind of a joke

For the past couple of years, I have frequented this area almost every week. My favourite Starbucks is barely ten metres away, FreshCo—where I do my weekly grocery shopping—is directly across the road, and other preferred eateries such as Subway and A&W are all within the same vicinity. Surprisingly, despite passing this McDonald's countless times, I only stepped inside for the very first time on a Wednesday evening to pick up some chicken nuggets for my grandchildren. Unfortunately, the experience was far from commendable. To begin with, there was no one at the counter to acknowledge or assist customers. Only after ringing the small bell placed on the counter did an employee eventually appear to take my order. What followed was an inexplicably long wait for a simple order of chicken nuggets. Several customers who arrived well after me were served and departed before I finally received mine. While waiting, I also witnessed what appeared to be a middle-aged supervisor loudly reprimanding members of her staff while simultaneously attending to customer orders. Such public admonishment was highly unprofessional and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for both employees and patrons alike. Effective leadership should inspire confidence, not embarrassment, especially in full view of customers. The combination of an unattended counter, excessive waiting time, and the supervisor's discourteous conduct left a distinctly unpleasant impression. Consequently, I have deducted two stars from my rating. The food itself was exactly what one expects from McDonald's—consistent, fresh, and perfectly satisfactory. Regrettably, it was the customer service and overall ambience that failed to meet even basic expectations.

I recently had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a McDonald’s location. While the food itself was below average, the biggest issue was the customer service, particularly my interaction with an employee named Noah. From the moment I approached the counter, Noah came across as uninterested and dismissive. Rather than greeting customers or making any effort to be welcoming, he seemed annoyed that people were even placing orders. When I asked a simple question about my order, his response was abrupt and came across as rude. Instead of helping resolve the issue, he made me feel like I was inconveniencing him. The wait for my food was much longer than expected despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. When my order finally arrived, it was incorrect. After bringing the mistake to Noah’s attention, there was no apology or acknowledgment that an error had been made. The interaction felt unprofessional, and it seemed like customer satisfaction wasn’t a priority. To make matters worse, the dining area was untidy, with tables left dirty and garbage bins nearing capacity. The overall atmosphere reflected a lack of attention to detail and management. I understand that fast-food jobs can be stressful and that everyone has difficult days, but customers still deserve basic courtesy and respect. A polite attitude and a willingness to help can make a huge difference, even when mistakes happen. Unfortunately, my experience suggested a lack of both. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and provides additional training on customer service. Based on this visit, I can’t recommend this location, and I’ll likely choose another restaurant in the future.
