I just went into chick-fil-a and I must say the experience was top tier. Me and my friends were greeted by a worker named Nick. He was super friendly and even though it seemed as though the food might be delayed for whatever circumstance was occurring in the kitchen at the time, Nick seemed very comfortable in command of the front desk operation and made quite the effort to prioritize me and my group. I noticed other reviews mentioning Nick so clearly others have noticed his hard work, but I still believe his service deserved a shoutout… overall my experience was very pleasant and the food was great!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Chick-fil-A in West Edmonton Mall, and a huge part of that was thanks to an employee named Nick DeRose.
From the moment I walked in, Nick was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and professional. He greeted me with a genuine smile, was patient while taking my order, and made me feel like a valued customer rather than just another person in line. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly takes so much pride in their work, but Nick went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.
The food itself was outstanding. The chicken sandwich was cooked perfectly, with crispy, golden-brown breading on the outside and incredibly juicy and tender chicken on the inside. Every bite was packed with flavor, and you could tell it was made fresh. The chicken had the perfect balance of seasoning, and the texture was exactly what you’d hope for from a great Chick-fil-A sandwich. The fries were hot, crispy, and fresh as well, making the meal even better.
What really stood out, though, was how Nick elevated the entire experience. He checked to make sure everything was correct, maintained a positive attitude throughout, and created the kind of atmosphere that keeps customers coming back. Excellent food is important, but exceptional customer service is what turns a good meal into a memorable one, and Nick delivered exactly that.
If Chick-fil-A West Edmonton Mall has more employees like Nick DeRose, they’re doing something right. This was one of the best fast-food experiences I’ve had in a long time. Great food, outstanding service, and an employee who truly deserves recognition.
My recent visit to Chick-fil-A at West Edmonton Mall was genuinely excellent. The service was fast, friendly, and efficient, and the food arrived fresh and exactly as expected. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the fries were crisp, and the overall experience reflected a level of consistency that keeps people coming back.
What stood out most was the atmosphere behind the operation. Even during a busy period, everything seemed to run smoothly, with staff working together to keep orders moving and customers happy. There was a noticeable sense of organization and professionalism that elevated the experience beyond what one might normally expect from a fast-food restaurant.
A special mention should go to Nick, whose contributions around the kitchen area clearly do not go unnoticed. While he may not be the face on the menu board, his steady presence appears to play a small but meaningful role in maintaining the restaurant’s high standards. One gets the impression that if the kitchen were an orchestra, Nick would be quietly making sure nobody accidentally started playing the wrong symphony.
Overall, Chick-fil-A at West Edmonton Mall delivers excellent food, great service, and a surprisingly polished dining experience. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a quick meal that consistently exceeds expectations.
The food was great. The main reason for the 1 star is because I overheard the kitchen being yelled at by the boss of the store. I asked what his name was and role was. His name was Devake and he is the boss who is married to the owner. As someone who worked in the fast food industry, the boss should never be yelling at their staff like that. I don't know why he was yelling at them, but it wasn't pleasant to hear when I was visiting last week. I feel sorry for those who were being yelled at. Bless your souls
On May 18th I had the BEST experience at the West. Edmonton Mall location from the time I walked up to order to the time that I left.
This was my first time trying Chick-fil-A.
My brother had suggested it if I had a chance, to go try it. We live in Victoria B.C. and we don't have a Chick-fil-A here. Hopefully we will soon 😀.
The person that took my order was Nick and so very friendly and helpful.I told him it was my first time and wasn't sure what to order. So he said, well, if you have any questions or recommendations, I'll be more than happy to help you.And he was, I ended up ordering the macaroni and cheese and the original burger and adding the chick fil a sauce on the side. He said, I wouldn't need the sauce because the chicken itself is the best ever. That's why it comes plain but I took the sauce anyways and asked for an extra one so I could bring it home to my brother. He handed me my paper with my name for the order and I waited off to side. Had my food in less then 2mins and the fellow handing me my food said I hear its your first time! Enjoy! Everyone was do excited working there.
Went to my table with my friends and about 5-10 mins later Nick found me(in this huge food court) and asked how I was enjoying my lunch. It was delicious. He asked if I needed anything else. More sauce to take home? I said oh no, I'm ok but he insisted I take more home for my brother, so sweet. He came back with 10 more in a little bag with a sweet note.
About another 5-10 mins later he comes back again. This time with ice cream. He said, I hope it's ok I give you a treat?. I felt he was so sincere and truly wanted the best experience for me. Nick will go far in life that's for sure!
*Funny note* I had to step aside at the airport with my carry on because of the sauce. I told them there's a story..they let me go through 😀
