- RSross stroeder1 day ago5.0We went to the Shawnessy Swiss Chalet to celebrate my son’s birthday. There are 7 of us but they found us a table right away. Our server, Sara,, immediately met us as we sat down. Took our drink oder right away. When it was time to take our food order she was very patient. Ordering seven different meals takes a while. Especially my family. Sara just handled it with ease. During our meal she checked on us regularly, refilling our drinks with no issues. She even offered to take a picture of us, knowing we were celebrating a birthday. So wonderful. Then at the end of the meal she brought my son a free desert, and led the Happy Birthday for my son. So awesome. It was an amazing evening and made so much better having Sara as our server. She is wonderful. If you ever go to this place ask for Sara, you will not be disappointed. Well done Sara. Tell Mo, you deserve a raise.
- SSSarah2 days ago1.0Unfortunately, this was our last visit to this Swiss Chalet location. We’re regular Swiss Chalet customers and usually go a couple of times a month, so we’ve put up with the occasional service issue here before. This visit, though, was beyond frustrating. We waited a long time to order drinks, were barely checked on afterward, and getting a refill was nearly impossible. After finally flagging down a manager, he took our cups and returned with the **wrong drinks — warm and without ice**. From there, getting anyone’s attention was practically impossible. The restaurant was also out of several basic items, including kids’ cups, chocolate milk, ice, kids’ toys and M&M’s. Being out of things happens, but when combined with the lack of service, it made for a pretty miserable experience. We eventually sat with empty plates and no drinks before managing to get someone to bring us the bill. We’re pretty easygoing customers, but this was a case of **“how hard can it be to get a drink or some basic service?”** Apparently, very hard. We’ve been loyal customers, but this location has officially lost our business.

More than that great deal, it’s because of the phenomenal fast and friendly service, particularly from our very special server, Luke, who we always try to make sure we sit in his section. The food came out SO FAST. We were so happily surprised as it’s always a challenge dining with young kids. It’s not everyday you come across a memorable experience when dining, but Sara truly was that experience for us. She was so amazing with the kids, friendly and attentive, she is a true gem. We appreciate this kind of service and would 1,000% return back any day to sit in her section.
