    Allergy:A few weeks ago I ordered takeout and stated to the waitress I had two allergies - Dairy + Gluten & got the waitress to make sure she put that memo to the kitchen, she assured me safety measures would be taken. I picked it up,drove all the way back home to learn they put a big piece of cheddar cheese on it. Called and talked to the GM/Main manager who handled my call well. She handled it like an experienced manager, she expedited my food via Skip the dishes and gave a $20 Gift card in the bag. GM had no way of knowing I have a severe complex medical condition and I can't dine-In to limit exposure; take out only and I saw tonight the gift card said "Dine-In only". I called to order takeout tonight again, hoping to use the gift card. Saw that it said Dine-In only so called and spoke to Ast. Mgr. Brianna. I let her know there was an incident where they put cheese on my prior meal and that I was given a gift card to make up for it, but that I couldn't Dine-In due to " Complex Medical Conditions ". Brianna said " Sorry no, it has to be used for Dine-In only" and disregarded that I was given a gift card to make up for what could have been a lethal mistake, Only to not be able to use what I was given to make up for the possible lethal mistake. So, I ordered the same thing tonight, I say 3 times to the waitress I have two allergies - Dairy and Gluten and " Last time they still put cheese on it so I want to make sure both allergies are in the memo". Waitress says "yes, allergies memo-ed and I wrote no cross contamination". I said " can you make sure the manager double checks it before I get it " - waitress " yes ". I get there to pick it up, ask the waitress to make sure the Mgr. Checked the allergies. Waitress asks the Ast Mgr, Ast. Mgr says " yes ". Waitress says "Mgr said yes it's been checked". Drive all the way back home, open the burger to find... A massive piece of cheddar cheese in the burger again. Call State & Main, my Boyfriend called because th Ast. Mgr was already dismissive when I spoke to her prior. Partner tells Ast. Mgr it's the second time it's happened and the GM expedited it last time, Ast. Mgr says " I don't know if I can expedite it,I have to check ". Eventually agreed to deliver the meal. Partner asked Ast Mgr why their company doesn't care about people's severe health conditions ( my complex health / disabilities) and why they wouldn't honor the $20 gift card that made up for their first potential fatal error. Resistantly, she apologized for the cheese being put on a dairy allergy meal twice, and also admitted she never actually checked the food before it came to me like we had asked and like the waitress had asked her prior to me leaving. She did not admit her miss/oversight in how she handled my call prior call hoping they'd honor the gift card for Takeout that I couldn't otherwise actually use.The food did arrive tonight eventually, the fellow who delivered it was polite and apologized. We did not receive a coupon the second time. We asked for head office contact info. Ast. Mgr said she couldn't give it to us but she'd make a note about it.She asked for our contact info, we declined and prefer to call back. We have pictures of the burger with cheddar cheese on it and feel this location needs serious training for it's Ast. Mgr & staff about the seriousness of allergies VS food preferences VS food sensitivities. It's unfortunate, because when they don't mess up the allergy aspects, the chicken club is delicious. And earlier months I had great experiences with the front staff while waiting for my takeout food. I hope the Ast. Mgr is held accountable for misguiding both the waitress and a customer about something very serious- Like double checking the food for the allergies. The GM the first time this happened, again handled it night and day differently and more professionally than the Ast. Mgr and I'm greatful for the maturity and professionalism of the GM from the 1st time it happened. Because the GM handled it so well he first time, that's why I decided to try again tonight.

    First time visiting State & Main. Service was friendly and efficient, food was excellent and the cost was reasonable. Sat on the covered patio, very nice, and comfortable.

    We went there for dinner on a Saturday evening to celebrate few milestones and had a wonderful time. Our server Kate was extremely friendly and patient. She ensured that our experience was incredible during the whole time. Will definitely visit again.

    Food was delicious I have a steak and my son a pike bowl . A few Cesar and price was decent Or server was great will definitely return

    We love coming here for lunch or a drink! Good happy hour deals and food is consistent. Ashley has served us a few times and remembers us, which is nice. She seems friendly and always keeps the beers full. Great lunch spot!
