  The food here is actually very good, but the very large male employee at the wrap station seriously needs to improve his attitude and manners toward customers. You can easily tell who he is because all the other staff are smaller, while this guy is much bigger than everyone else. I come here often and had never seen this employee before, but after dealing with him on Saturday, I honestly don’t even want to come back because his customer service was that bad. Absolutely horrible service. I’m usually not someone who leaves restaurant reviews, but this employee actually made me feel the need to write one.

  I’ve been going to Shawarma Palace since day 1 when they took over the Shawarma King in Forest Lawn 18 years ago and Rename it to Shawarma Palace, where the service was awesome, the family that managed it were nice and attentive the food and portions were amazing!!! Since they expanded to different locations, the food quality and service hasn’t been the same but good overall except for the Carrington location. My experience over there was not great. They messed up my take out order, the portion of the meat in the 3 platters I’ve ordered was pretty low on meat but high on rice, the presentation of the food was sloppy, salad was mixed with the potatoes and rice, there’s barely any meat, and looked like they sprinkled only few pieces of each meat on top for a whopping cost of 23 dollars per platter. I called them to fix the mistake of one order that they made by adding chicken meat in the lamb and donair meat order, where I made it clear to one of their workers that I didn’t want chicken in that platter and he nodded his head that he understood my request. When I called them to address the mistake, the manager was dismissive and pointing the blame at me and then the phone call dropped or most likely he hung up on me, so I attempted to call back many times, but they didn’t answer…..For these justified reasons I’m giving it a fair deserved 1 star review for the awful food and horrible service!!!

  Awful staff, speaking in a different language in front of customers, and rudely handling food. No hello, no welcome, no thank you. Greeted with a dirty stare from young staff member and asked “what do you want?”. Won’t be back again. Owners have clearly abandoned this branch and no effort to train staff. Shawarma was dry, the chicken that was used was not freshly cut and was sitting on the grill for god knows how long.

  Me and my wife went to this location (Carrington plaza) it was our first time. Knowing Shawarma palace who gave a lot of servings everytime, this location did not dissappoint. Their servings was very huge for 2 people. Me and my wife didnt even finish it. All staff was great and friendly. Even got a free side of rice today. Place was nice and clean. Service was superb. Just want to say, you guys gain a loyal customer. Just me free rice everytime. Haha. Just kidding. Filipino guy cooking the meat is awesome. Indian girl and guy in the cashier amazing. Thank you guys! Definitely coming back again!
