  great local save on. while i've encountered some rude staff, for the most part a lot of the staff are great. my favorite part of this specific save on in the city is the kitchen; their food is amazing, always of great quality, and most importantly it is so cheap! I can get a whole meal for under $10, which is quite rare nowadays. The manager, Christian, has real talent in the kitchen and has great customer service, always going above and beyond for customers. Mei and Khushdeep also have exemplary customer service and stand out from the rest of the store staff.

  Prices rung in at the till almost always have an error, and the error is ALWAYS to the benefit of Save-on-Foods. This happens so often that I am beginning to think this is on purpose. I’ve caught them out several times, and they adjust the amount to the correct price. Until I discovered it is store policy to give the customer the item free if they get the price wrong. However they never point this out to you. And now they exempt this for on-sale items which is where most of these errors occur. if you shop here, watch the price rung in carefully. Groceries are expensive enough. Don’t be afraid to call them out. The store chain is owned by one of the ten richest men in Canada. I hate to be accusatory, but if it looks and smells like a scam, it probably is. Shame on Save-on-Foods.
