  Phenomenal food and great service! Having spent time travelling in Japan, I'm always looking for spots that capture that true, traditional flavor, and Ramen Ichinen delivers. The turnaround time from ordering to eating was surprisingly quick, and the waitress went out of her way to be friendly and attentive. A delicious, authentic gem

  The overall quality of the ramen was fine, but honestly, it is quite overrated. If you’re looking for tasty and authentic Japanese ramen, this probably isn’t the place I would recommend. 1) Chashu: The chashu was not up to standard. It was a thick, loose slice and the texture wasn’t particularly impressive. However, I did enjoy the charcoal-grilled flavour. 2) Noodles: I wouldn’t recommend offering the thin noodles as an option, as they were quite far from the typical Japanese ramen style. To me, they tasted more like Chinese-style noodles. 3) Soft-boiled/lava egg: Unfortunately, they failed to deliver a proper soft-boiled egg. The egg we received was almost fully cooked instead of having a runny, lava-like yolk. Even more disappointing, the knife used to cut the egg clearly hadn’t been cleaned, as there was visible egg yolk residue on it. 4) Service: The lady who seated us was friendly and nice. However, the most disappointing part of the service was when a staff member came over and asked if we wanted to check the bill only about two minutes after we finished our ramen. There were no customers waiting for a table at the time, so it felt quite unnecessary and rushed. It gave us the impression that they wanted us to pay and leave as soon as we put down our chopsticks. Overall, the ramen was okay, but definitely not worth the hype.

  I stumbled upon this place by accident during a layover. Wow was i surprised. I ate here originally in 2024 and was blown away. I happened to be in Calgary recently and popped in and happy to say its still superb. If you want a good ramen come here folks!

  Some of the best ramen we’ve ever had!! Definitely a hidden gem and a must stop if you’re staying in the area!
