Should have read the reviews before we went. Pizza had no toppings, barely any cheese, had the order wrong. We waited for quite some time at front desk to take our order and our service once we received it was beyond rude. Word of advice for pizza in Calgary ignore this place. Never again

I ordered two pepperoni pizzas. I picked up the order myself, and when I got home and opened the boxes, I realized that instead of the two pepperoni pizzas I ordered, they had given me two chicken pizzas. I immediately contacted Papa John’s and explained that they had given me the wrong order. They gave me two options: either contact Uber and request a refund, or have the store remake and send the correct pizzas according to my original order. I contacted Uber, but I was told that they would not issue a refund. I then contacted the store again and asked them to provide the correct pizzas as they had offered, but they refused to do so. In other words, they are not even honoring the solution they offered me themselves. The labels on the pizza boxes have my name and the correct ingredients for my order, but the phone number on the labels is incorrect and does not belong to me. I understand that mistakes can happen. What matters is that the restaurant takes responsibility and corrects the mistake. Unfortunately, Papa John’s has not done that, and I have ended up paying for food that I never ordered.

I was disappointed by my delivery experience today. We paid for our order, including the $4.99 delivery fee, online before the driver arrived. When he came to the door, he asked whether we had already paid. After we confirmed that we had, he said, "I drove 7 km here and I have to drive 7 km back, and I don't think that no tip is fair." (An assumption he made, as he wasn't sure if we had paid or not when he arrived.) He then continued standing at our door until we added a cash tip. I understand that tips are appreciated, but they should always be voluntary. Being pressured to tip after already paying the delivery fee was uncomfortable and inappropriate. It felt like we were being pressured into paying more in order to receive food we had already purchased. I hope Papa John's addresses this with the driver, as no customer should feel pressured or uncomfortable at their own front door. We will not be ordering from Papa Johns again.
