  Popped into Original Joe's after a long shift downtown and the patio was buzzing. Got the Bayou chicken sandwich with yam fries — crispy edges, proper kick, didn't disappoint. Server Marissa kept my pint topped up without hovering, which I appreciate. Solid spot when you want a relaxed bite without the usual chain vibe. Will be back.

  Cole was an awesome bartender at Original Joe’s. I was visiting Calgary with my Dad from Toronto, Ontario, and Cole made us feel really welcome right away. He was engaging with customers, very methodical and attentive with drinks/orders, and took the time to help me decide on a beer to try with some great recommendations. He really helped create a great atmosphere and made our experience there even better. 100% would recommend this place to anyone, Cheers!

  We stopped in for a late lunch on Sat afternoon at OJ's Macleod Trail, quickly greeted, and our waitress (Madison B) was amazing! She was there when needed, not hovering, and so genuine and sincere you could tell she really enjoyed serving us. She wasn't patronizing in that phony way that many servers do in places hoping for a big tip. ( So we left her a huge tip!...very deserved ). The appy (Bruschetta) was bigger than expected, the main food was excellent and fresh! Honestly the best dining experience we've had in awhile. Madi, you're excellent thanks! We'll be back.

  We came in with an infant in a stroller as he isn’t capable of sitting in a high chair for long yet. Asked the wait staff multiple times where we should sit that would not impede other customers and guests. We were seated, then had a waitress walk by and give us a nasty look and then within a few seconds a manager was telling us we need to move because we are in their way. Her tone wasn’t rude but the entire vibe was very unwelcoming, and very much felt like they would rather we just left. No problem at all with moving, but again the same hassle about where should we sit, as we had already asked multiple times. If you don’t want kids in your restaurant, then make it child free. The waitress who served us was nice.
