Original Joe’s is a restaurant that welcomes everyone. We have craveable classics for lunch or dinner, down-to-earth vibes and a friendly team looking to brighten your day! Our OJ’s is located across the way from Shawnessy Village Shopping Center, which is home to many attractions. There are theatres, a rec center with our local hockey team (go, Calgary Buffalos!) and plenty of shopping. We are also close to Fish Creek Provincial Park, where you can enjoy multiple activities and events throughout the year and seasons! - DRdave rawcliffeAug 21, 20261.0I came in for a late lunch, and when I pulled up in front of the restaurant and parked I noticed there was a man standing in front of the entrance and he obviously had some mental issues, but he was minding his own business , I walked past him and said hello as I entered the restaurant. I sat down at the bar and ordered some food, the man who was outside came inside the restaurant and sat down and he was eating some food from fat burger and the manager/bartender told him very aggressively that he had to vacate the premises, and the man wasn’t belligerent or aggressive at all, he then told him to get out of he would call the police, the man began to leave and from what I saw he left peacefully. But then as he was leaving the manager/ bartender became even more aggressive and began to make insulting comments to him, it was very obvious that he had a mental illness, and because of the way that the manager was handling the situation I got up and went to the entrance to make sure that the man who was told to get out, I was concerned about him possibly getting angry and vandalizing my vehicle, as I was watching him from the entrance, the manager had the door open and was shouting insults at the man saying your mother must be proud!! And calling him a loser among other insults which were very vulgar and foul language. The man by this time was more than 150 feet away from the restaurant and was walking away while the manager still continued to shout obscenities using very foul language. I would have left but my food was sitting on the counter so I ended up going back in to eat. I will never ever return , I was disgusted with how the management/bartender handled this situation. Whoever owns this restaurant needs to know about this incident and should seriously consider termination of this employee.

Between 5-7pm I wanted to give her a special shout out, she was very busy, but still managed to serve us with a smile and a great attitude. 5 star service!

She knows the menu, is such a personality, and is always so helpful. We truly hope she serves us when we come in. Food is good and I’m a sucker for the happy hour! Love the new summer menu too
