- JHJacky Ho4 days ago1.0Went with a party to watch FIFA World Cup. One member in our party politely inquired about the status of the food, as it was quite sometime since ordering. A simple response could have resolved the inquiry but was met with immediate attitude and thus a longer conversation by the waitress. While yes, it is busier than usual due to the World Cup, a simple “ I can check for you, it shouldn’t be much longer, sorry we are very backed up” could of immediately satisfied the concern. Another member of our party ordered an item for it to come out as a completely different order . Was hesitant to raise a concern, send it back due to being met with the same response again. Food was good, vibes were good but the waitresses’ apparent overstimulation led us leaving with a bad experience.

I also had dinner here at bar and got a grilled chicken club sandwich which was great, the chicken was juicy and tender not dry.

We went to watch the world cup game June 30th. Bought their pie happy hour daily $11 special. Even joked about the low price to the waitress. Our table bought 5 of them and spent roughly $40 apeice on our orders. When the bill came the receipt had pies at full price. I raised it, and the waitress just said it was a blackout with the games and soon to be Stampede. This wasn't posted anywhere, mentioned at any point, and the menu at the table still shows the special. So our table lost 5piesx $6off, or $30 on this. We had even mentioned the special price when ordering. She eventually offered to check with management, but came back and said it was an HQ issue with the pricing. Absolutely not returning.

We got cold fries for the poutine and the server and management were super good about it, got fresh fries, and made up for it which was nice of them. Great service. The table was clean but the area we were seated beside the ledges were thick with dust which they should deal with for sure, it didn’t look like just a day or few but like a long long long time since they were wiped or dusted. They welcomed our kids until 9 which is awesome. Fun and loud atmosphere, soccer was on every tv and it was a good time in this place. The berry mule is super delicious. :)
- KCKeith ChristopherJun 27, 20263.0English Pub… 16 Oz American pints… it’s an absolute travesty of capitalism that just broke my heart; perhaps one day they could be encouraged to take that last step and be a true british pub (well that and bar service instead of the North American style table service but that might be too big an ask). The happy hour I can get behind is a decent price for down town and a nice wide time frame (pretty cheeky suspending happy hour on food during the games though). The atmosphere passes muster. And there are great authentic quality food options.
