I called ahead a few days in advance to let them know we would have a group of 20 people coming in for drinks for a couple hours and reserve a table. When we arrived, there was only one server working the entire bar. It took us about 25 minutes to get a pint served and several of the orders were wrong. By no means was it the server's fault, she was completely overwhelmed. I'm very disappointed that we reserved a table for 20 in advance but they didn't have enough staff working on a Saturday afternoon (+20 degrees patio weather too) to provide the bare minimum for service standards. I will not be returning to Elephant & Castle in the near future.

We actually left without getting our food. They should have comped our drinks to apologize. I live across the street, had never been there before and will never return. It was like they wanted us to drink more. Waiter was very scattered, I suspected he was under the influence. I base this on the fact that he brought a Diet Pepsi instead of a Pims, then took another 15 minutes to bring the correct drink. He also mentioned that he hadn't checked the kitchen, again knowing that we were in a time crunch.

The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and everything came together for a great dining experience. Definitely a nice place to visit with friends or family.
