I understand this location has only recently opened, so there are bound to be processes to refine and staff to train. However, my experience was still very disappointing. The young staff were unfriendly and seemed unknowledgeable, the tables and chairs were dirty, the wait times were far too long, and the portions were meagre.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience at this Chipotle location. As a franchisee, relying on the Chipotle name will only get you so far before customers start saying, “No thanks.” The experience needs to be better if you want people to come back.
For now, I’ll drive up to Northland instead.
just like most of the other reviews mentioned, the initial portion size was really disappointing. The first lady that served me, (idk her name but she was in a hijab) barely gave me any food and it looked like the bowl was half empty, so i took this matter into my own hands. fortunately, a kind employee named Saleh resolved this issue right away. Salehs customer service completely saved this visit because if it were not for him, i would have given this review a 1 star. but management needs to address the initial portion sizes.

I’ll preface this review with I recognize they are newly opened and hopefully still working out the kinks. I contacted the chat-bot through the app right away when we got home and realized how wrong our order was, 4 entrees ordered and 3 were missing items/incorrect. They credited my acct with 1 free entree, 1 drink and 1 side queso which have to be redeemed within 30 days.
We put a pickup order in through the app Monday evening, the promised pickup time was 6pm. Once we arrived in-store to pickup there was a line up at the pickup area that not one single staff member was acknowledging, bags were piling up at the back counter and not being brought up to the pickup area, there was a ton of staff all just going around in circles not knowing what to do. Our order ended up being ready 15 mins behind the promised pickup time yet somehow was still ice cold? Peeked in the bag and saw 4 entrees and 1 4oz sauce container, assuming the other sides of sauce were in the containers we left. Once we arrived home and unpacked we discovered the 1 sauce was sour cream and not the paid for queso, none of the other salsas on the side were received so we ended up with no salsas for the burrito bowls, both burrito bowls were missing the veggies completely, one was missing the second 1/2 protein and everything was so cold the cheese hadn’t even melted a little bit. We maybe received 3tbsp of rice in the bowls. I double checked my order receipt to make sure I didn’t forget to select options and everything was very clearly listed to be included. Overall for $60 this was an extremely disappointing experience. We’ll redeem the compensated items but beyond that I don’t know if we will return unless significant improvements happen.
Was excited to have this location open as the mucho burrito that was there before was always dead because the portions were so bad for the price. UNFORTUNATELY this is worse which is so sad. I could not believe how little food I got in my chicken bowel. It looked like I already ate half of it…I’m sooo confused?? How can you serve such little food for a high price. Won’t come back unless we know there is going to be an adjustment to the portion sizes. If I wasn’t with my toddler I would of ask to talk to a manager to understand how this is even acceptable and if this is actually what the franchise is asking or if it’s the location already trying to cut cost. So many of our friends were excited to try but looks like a lot of business is gunna be lost once it’s open for a couple months and people don’t return. Positive note was the size of the vinaigrette was good and queso tasted yummy.

Tried giving Chipotle West Hills a try, and I honestly don’t understand why people keep coming here. The prices are high, but the portions are incredibly small.
The amount of rice, beans, veggies, and especially the protein was shocking. My wife and I both ordered bowls, and it felt like we each got about six small pieces of chicken. For what you’re paying, that’s just not acceptable.
If you’re going to charge premium prices, you need to provide portions that actually justify the cost. Right now, the value just isn’t there.
Definitely a one-star experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this location. Calgary really needs more restaurants that offer generous portions at fair prices.
