    My husband and I are huge fans of Añejo in Mission, so we were thrilled when one opened in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, our first visit was very disappointing compared with Mission and Banff. The host briefly greeted us but stayed focused on her iPad, leaving us waiting awkwardly. Communication between staff also seemed poor. we ordered drinks, only for another staff member to ask whether we had ordered. The food took a long time to arrive, too. The tableside guacamole usually feels like a highlight, but the server started preparing it without asking about our preferences or engaging with us. It tasted good, although the portion seemed much smaller than we’re used to. The tacos arrived flat on the plate rather than in holders, with fillings already falling out. The server set them down without explaining which was which. The braised beef filling was fine, but the tortilla was mushy. The pork chorizo was overwhelmingly salty, and the cabbage tasted bitter. We’ve ordered these dishes many times at Mission and have always enjoyed them. This visit lacked the attentive service and food quality we associate with Añejo. We really wanted to love our neighbourhood location and hope things improve.

    We LOVE this spot downtown, actually very fondly had our first date there and have returned countless times to an always awesome experience. Not in Seton. Host was incredibly rude, just like Leopold's right next door, she seemed bothered and put out that we were interested in knowing what the wait time was; 4 hours we were begrudgingly told. Do the people who own these establishments know how their front door/front of house staff are coming across to potential customers? Are they not representing the brand and business when they stand around looking lost, ignoring customers? Working in restaurants can be tough, but I feel it's safe to assume staff at popular places know Saturday evenings might be busy; seems like bizarre way to grow your brand out here to have people working that are annoyed by that. 0/10, don't waste your time coming here.

    I was treated to Anejo for my birthday. What a beautiful place to celebrate with family. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was delicious and Anna, our server, was kind, attentive and had a knack for knowing what we would like. She certainly brought the experience full circle. She had humor, knowledge and was quick despite how busy it was. She didn't linger and always seemed to know when we were ready/needing her to return. I had the three tacos - I really loved the opportunity to try different proteins with mine. I highly recommend the beef, chicken and the garlic and mushroom was surprisingly as good as the other two. Our table also shared the Table Guacamole and Queso Fundido - WOW! We were a table of 6 and felt these two dishes provided just enough to hold us over until our dinner arrived. Riding the sober train, the mocktails were so deliciously refreshing & catered to the atmosphere that I miss about Happy Hour. They were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. I will be back for sure and will recommend Anejo!

    0 Star – Very Disappointing Experience at AÑEJO Restaurant – Seton I am extremely disappointed with my experience at AÑEJO Restaurant – Seton. We waited 1 hour and 5 minutes for our tacos, which is far too long. During the entire wait, there was very little communication from our server about the delay. I also found it frustrating that the server was spending time talking with other employees while our table was waiting for service. We were then told that beef tacos were not available, which was disappointing. After waiting more than an hour, the food we received did not make the experience any better. By the time I left, it was late at night and I could not find another nearby restaurant that was still open. I left the restaurant hungry after spending the evening waiting for food. I understand that restaurants can get busy, but waiting 65 minutes for tacos with little communication is not the experience I expected. The lack of attention from the server and the limited food options made the experience even more frustrating. Very disappointing service and overall experience. I expected much better from this restaurant.

    10/10 would definitely reccomend! The food is so above par I felt like I was on the Mexican coast! The staff are lovely! Fun and professional. Over 200 kinds of tequila! I only tried 2 but I'll be back! Great happy hour menu. Kiara, our server was knowledgeable and lovely. Ethan was hilarious and so on the ball, and Ty was friendly and again, super knowledgeable and personable! Excellent experience! It's going to be a regular haunt! October 5/26 Second visit was again, fantastic! Ethan was a delight as usual. If you want to learn about tequila, sit at the bar. Ty rocked too and Jess, our server was friendly and fun! And all of them were on the ball! Thanks again! Oh and Martina made the guacamole table side so that was enjoyable. You are all so nice!
