  Had a nice lunch with friends, they were careful and accommodating around my friend's celiac and the food was good and quite filling. Atmosphere is cozy and East Coast, service was great.

  I have ordered chicken penne soup so many times through the years and the last two times I can’t eat it’s the soup is so greasy that you can see a layer of fat. The rice dumplings are overcooked on the outside and mushy raw in the middle. Either the recipe has changed or who ever is cooking it does not follow the recipe. The dumplings must be fried at too high a temp and they are pulling them out thinking they are done.

  Three of us stopped for lunch on a recommendation from our dining companion. We had hoped to be seated upstairs but the server said there was no lunchtime access to that area ( shame). Two things that we asked about on the menu were not available that day which seemed odd, but things happen with orders sometimes. We had the oyster burger, warm cauliflower salad with prawns and the chowder. Evidently the oyster burger was very light on oysters and tasted just ok...too much lettuce as filler. The salad was fine but certainly could have used more seasoning and our friend only finished half her chowder without making much comment....over all, the food was not what we'd hoped for. Our server was wonderful though - very personable, professional and seemed to be managing on her own, so kudos to her. I doubt we will make a return trip, although I see from the reviews that many diners have amazing experiences here.

  ​This is the first review I've ever made, Im 37. We brought out-of-town guests here expecting the great vibe and food we’ve enjoyed in the past, but the experience was a letdown from start to finish. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty on a Saturday at 12:30 PM, the service was disorganized. Due to a "miscommunication," only half our party’s mains arrived with the appetizer. The remaining two meals didn't show up for another 25 minutes, leaving our guests’ food cold while they waited for us to eat together. ​What made the experience truly uncomfortable, however, was the management. The manager approached us mid-meal to debate the timing of the food. When we politely asked to finish eating before discussing the issue, he allowed for it, but not without an obvious condescending demeanor. When he did return, he doubled down, insisting on "dealing with things immediately." This combative and conceited approach created an incredibly awkward atmosphere for our guests. ​They removed a $14 appetizer from the bill, but it didn't make up for a $78 lunch for two (mid-at-best range burgers and a soda) served with a side of confrontation. Between the service lapses and the manager's attitude, it's clear why the dining room was empty. We won’t be returning.
