Drinks came which were great…. Then the “6” oysters came. 3 of the 6 looked like they were ….. maybe the anus of the oyster? I’m not sure what they were but they were not oysters. We weren’t even sure how these not only got past the “chef” but also got past the waitress??? We then tried to order more food and the mussels were out, the gyoza was out, and the baked oysters were out….. The reason was that they had “gotten a new chef and he didn’t know how to order” Sooooo….. I would never recommend this place I guess. The positive was the server took off 50% of our oysters (thank goodness) but the fact that we were sat and given time to ‘look at the menu’ when half your menu is out of stock is a huge joke. I’m so sorry because I love food and dining and this was just…. Neither of those.
- POParminder OlakDec 10, 20252.0⭐ 2/5 — Disappointing Return After 10 Years I hadn’t been to Ferris’s in about a decade and was genuinely looking forward to returning, but the experience fell short. The restaurant felt damp and cold when we arrived. Three of us ordered burgers and my wife had the seafood soup. The burgers were still on the menu, but definitely not the same quality they once were. My cheeseburger was supposed to come on a brioche bun, but came on a very dry, plain bun. The fries, which used to be one of the highlights, were also nowhere near the same. The seafood soup was underwhelming — it had just one prawn, one mussel, and one clam, and wasn’t hearty at all. Half a baguette was dunked right into the soup, making it completely soggy. We were celebrating a birthday (which I noted on the reservation), but it wasn’t acknowledged. Our waitress was good and friendly, but needed to be a little more attentive — we had to get her attention about three times during the meal. Overall, the food felt more like a fast-food experience with premium prices. Several menu items that made Ferris’s great years ago are gone, and the quality simply isn’t what it used to be. All of our meals left a lot to be desired. Others may have a different experience, but I won’t be returning.
