  I had a disappointing experience at the Subway located at 820 Thurlow St, today (April 7, around 9:30 PM). After paying for my sandwich, I realized I forgot to collect my reward points. When I went back with my receipt (within 15-20 minutes), the staff told me it wasn’t possible due to the "SUBWAY POLICY" However, I found out that points can actually be added through the app using the receipt, and I was able to do it myself. When I informed the staff member about it, he responded defensively. He did not apologize for giving incorrect information about the rewards process. Instead, when I explained the correct method to him, he seemed visibly annoyed. It was uncomfortable to see him frown and react negatively, even though I was simply sharing helpful information. I wasn’t expecting much—just accurate information and basic customer service. Unfortunately, the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional, and there was no proper acknowledgment or apology. I hope the staff receive better training so future customers can have a smoother experience. For anyone reading this. if you forgot to collect your points at checkout, you can still add them afterward through the Subway app by entering the receipt details—so don’t miss out on your rewards!

  Walked in subway, there wasn’t anyone at the front so I said hello, and then “is there anyone here”. I waited like 5min and then someone walks around the corner on the phone. I laughed because I was so shocked that she finished her call and said bye in front of me, while on shift and working with food. Very very odd interaction.
