Their food is exceptional and inventive, but the service is slow and inattentive. We sat for 15 minutes without anyone offering water. Several waiters and waitresses walked past without even acknowledging us. I have been at wildlight several times, not a single time that I had service that felt warm and welcoming, but today’s brunch was the worst. This falls far short of the standard expected from a Michelin Guide restaurant. If the service team do not reflect on their attitudes, I don’t think I will come back again.l

Great restaurant for local, Pacific Northwest food options. Very tasty unique selection of traditional dishes. Location is pretty and the vibes fit the locale; highly recommend.

This restaurant is tucked away in a quiet corner of UBC, and the setting is absolutely lovely. It features a full floor-to-ceiling glass patio, and on a nice day, sitting here with sunlight pouring in makes the whole dining experience feel incredibly relaxing and enjoyable.
The service is excellent—friendly, attentive, and thoughtful throughout the meal. Everything felt well taken care of, which really adds to the overall experience.
The only downside is that it’s slightly on the pricey side, but aside from that, everything else was great. The atmosphere makes it a wonderful spot to come with friends or for a relaxed date.
One tip: if you come during their lunch special hours (around 3–5 pm), the prices are much more reasonable and definitely great value.
Would happily come back again!

My boyfriend and I went here last year during dine out and had great experience. This year we went back again but food quality went from superior to average. My seafood chowder was over salted, so was the pork with beans. I do like the dessert and my boyfriend’s salmon was good. Restaurant was busy that night so servers were a bit rush. Overall experience was not as good as we had before unfortunately.

We’ve been in Vancouver for about a year, and before returning home soon, we finally visited Wildlight Kitchen.
It made us wonder why we didn’t come sooner.
Every dish showed such thoughtful balance and care in its flavors — truly fine-dining quality, yet with generous portions.
What stood out most was the kindness and professionalism of the staff.
A special thank you to Cassandra, who took wonderful care of us and made our evening even more enjoyable with her warm and attentive service.
We’re not sure if we’ll be able to visit again before we leave, but this will remain one of our most memorable dining experiences in Vancouver.
