  This is a good Save-On but not quite a great Save-On. I think the square footage is what limits them in a few ways. I can always find staples and fresh choices but I think they tend to run out of sale items rather quickly. On the other hand, that means that people are shopping regularly. Underground parking can feel a little cramped and the checkout / customer service area definitely feels that way too. But everything is well presented and the hot bar / prepared foods section always smells delicious. I like being able to find higher end choices here but I do tend to see substitutions when submitting online orders.

  Had a cold last week, went here to get pre sliced pineapple and ended up getting minor food poisoning from the spoiled pineapple. Customer service gave me a refund.

  At the entrance a big sign says "100% Canadian-owned with over 110 years of history" ...So, 110 years later and you still haven't figured out pricing?!! This is just one of many cases... In this case bought a seasoning mix that was clearly marked on the shelf as a "Member Price" of $1.40. However, when I was charged the full price of $2.79. You have to audit every item to ensure the advertised price is actually being honored 🤔 2) They have now locked the washrooms behind a keypad. Are you kidding me?What kind of person does that? pricing errors and the lack of easy access to basic facilities, the shopping experience here has definitely gone downhill. Watch your wallet!

  I stopped by Save-On-Foods on a Saturday morning when I was out running errands and needed groceries, and it ended up being one of those quick stops that just worked on all fronts. The moment I walked in I noticed how bright and easy it was to find what I needed without wandering in circles. The produce section felt fresh with colourful fruits and vegetables that looked like they were picked recently, not just sitting there from a long trip. What made this visit feel personal to me was how the store made grocery shopping feel efficient but pleasant. I grabbed a few basics like eggs, bread, and greens, and then spotted some ready-made meals that looked good enough to eat right away — I couldn’t resist a roasted chicken with sides for dinner later. The staff at the deli counter smiled and suggested a flavour-packed salad that ended up being perfect with that chicken.
