  Went in to buy some produce and there was an oily/ greasy film on all the Roma tomatoes…spoke to an employee and apparently they spray the produce down with something when they receive it …

  Produce is 99% of the time great quality. I mean we have to understand sometimes things are in season. The store layout is extremely user friendly and all the staff I have run into in 10+ years are great! Super friendly and helpful when needed. I know people always say save on is a little more expensive than other stores, but they welcome price matching, and if you pay attention to sales etc you barely spend extra, and it’s worth it. I’ve tried superstore before and they’re horrible from quality to customer service to incompetence. Save on foods is the way to go. Worked at one almost 30 years ago and been a loyal shopper since!

  My wife and I went to this location in December . We ordered sandwich trays , fruit tray , veggie tray and a spinach dip tray . We also ordered a large cake tomorrow. This was for my mother in laws 80th surprise birthday party . The employees we dealt with at save on foods Hillcrest , were amazing to say the least . They were very helpful in every way to suggest the appropriate items and quantities . The items were very much enjoyed by all . The value was decent . Thank you to you all , you knocked it out of the park for us and my mother in law . Thank yo , regards Don & Joyce Ingram
