At no point was anything mentioned about limits or having to pay for our own food. After driving nearly 50 minutes from Kits to Surrey, we were told on arrival that we would receive only one dish, and we would have to pay for everything else. This was never communicated beforehand and felt extremely unprofessional. What made the situation worse was the manager’s behaviour. He wasn’t even present at the restaurant — he simply called the staff and told them to pass the message. He didn’t answer my calls, yet he was actively answering the calls from his own staff. The lack of transparency and basic courtesy was shocking. If these restrictions existed, they should have been clearly communicated in the messages. Or the manager should have man-ed up and spoke instead of pushing his staff under the bus. The staff had to apologize for his mistake. When she clearly was at no fault nor was she informed before hand. The whole experience felt like a complete waste of time and reflected very poorly on the management and how they treat their customers.
