Saturday morning I tripped and fell outside the Blanshard street store. Two customers were very helpful taking me into the store and your staff were wonderful at dealing with my bruised face, badly bruised left hand and broken glasses. Many thanks to everyone who helped me. Beryl Evans

We were looking for Maple Syrup in a shape of maple. Inventory says 6 were on the floor but can’t be found. Although we weren’t able to buy that specific item, “Ripley” who’s working in that aisle was excellent in his customer service and did his best to help us 💯

Currently at the Uptown save on where I went to do my grocery shopping today, in the dairy aisle is mold. You can see it you can smell it. Very potent smell. Then the freezer aisle has melted things in it and they're refreezing it. Even the cashier said he has received items that should have been frozen. Then 1 of the freezer shelves is cracked and had a clear piece that was sharp and cut my finger. The manager got me a band aid. Then said she would investigate the mold smell..she said it was from people spilling under the shelving . However the mold is visible on the shelf. Then she said freezer defrost and refreeze every 6 hours to prevent freezer burn. So how many times has the freezer items been defrosted and refrozen ? For my noticing I was given 2 free juices since thats where my finger got cut. If you go to this location today be ware of dairy and freezer section. The owner of the store asked me to contact them about the issue today which I just did and I was told it would be escalated immediately to higher management and that I would get a call back with an explanation to the freezer situation and such and why the store was in such distress. Despite it being minor by visual. Its rather deep and the skin keeps pulling back but its to thick to just remove. And cooking , washing hands/dishes ect sting. I was out of band aids so had to buy more and polysporn and antiseptic. (I havent cut myself in awhile ) so that was $35 extra I had to spend because of a damaged shelf that was clear and sharpe. Very irritating. Nov 19 2025 update. upon request of owner i called but only spoke directly with a customer care agent. Never recieved a call or email back. Dec 6 2025 update. The manager has called me and addressed the problems that I had that day. He is then come back to me with more updates including the technician came to check the coolers to make sure that nothing was going on with the timer as well as the sharp shelving that slipped my finger has all been replaced. And but I did find in the dairy section was valid and starting next week they will be dealing with that and having it replaced in deep cleaned. The owner has been very courteous and understanding of the situation and the fact that he is keeping me updated about it is very appreciated so I am changing my rating because it is a very nicely owned location that respects its customers and values their input.
