The food was good, but the service was absolutely terrible. I've never had to wait more than half an hour for a waiter to come and take my order. There were six of us in a group. We ordered at the same time, but our dishes arrived at different times. The worst service I've ever experienced. And the restaurant was practically empty. It's no wonder this place is closing. With service like that...

Overall a good experience, but for the money it was very loud and my halibut was over cooked. They also split the charge into a seperate charge on my bill for the lobster that was part of what I ordered. Strange.

We celebrated a family birthday here 2 days ago. Having enjoyed The Boathouse previously, we were very disappointed this time.
Of the six of us, two had a hair in their meals. The coffees were lukewarm, and the meals were too.
The service was inattentive. Meals arrived far apart and were presented to the wrong people.
I had the Smoked Salmon Hash. For some reason it was served in a "cream sauce"(?) which was more of a thin broth. It made the dish like a soup..with poached eggs?? And roasted potatoes??
A ruined birthday.
I know the chain is closing this restaurant. That's not an excuse for this level of service.
Very, very disappointing.

Today is Family Day . We were disappointed in service in one issue. We had a BD early dinner ( reserved at 4:30 pm) at Boathouse Port Moody ( sat by the window) used the gift card from parent. We were satisfied with food however not
satisfied with waitress in one issue. She was decided for us how many appitizer we should have! We did order 3 appitizer ( calamari, coconut prawns, lettuce wrap) but she did a mistake order 4 appi even I confirmed to her to cancel already caused us too full until I did not enjoy my dinner that much came home with uncomfy stomach. My husband was so nice he didn’t want to refuse for the extra appitizer ( prawn Brie baked) I walked to her and asked to cancel while she was putting in computer. Had 4 appi was too much for two people.
She should show her responsibility and take it back and say sorry but she didn’t do both. Instead of do the right thing however she said “ but one appi only had 4 pieces of prawn”. but we were ok bcoz we order 3 appi which a bit too much already. We don’t need 4 appi cause too full not pleasant at the end. Hopefully this feedback will be help improving. Beside from this issue she was good.

My wife and I have been to the boathouse numerous times, always enjoyed the meals and service is excellent. We were there for Valentine’s Day dinner and chose the set menu which was perfect , steak and lobster . We also ordered the appetizer calamari which was a big disappointment. There was very little calamari mostly zucchini, carrots, onions I just wanted calamari! It was listed with all those items on the menu but it is supposed to be a calamari appy.I did mention our disappointment to the waitress , she said she would tell the manager weather she did or not we don’t know as we were never approached by management .
Update , not sure how to respond to managers response .Judging by the managers response seems as he didn’t even read my review , I was unhappy with the lack of calamari for the inflated
Cost of the order . Thanks for doing nothing.
