Yesterday my husband's birthday. We had crab legs. It was too old and dry dish. The price was over 100 dollars too expensive, but the quality was terrible. I will never go back.

Fairly small menu, but all selections are delicious. You can always ask "do you have...", "can you make..." and very often you can get things not listed on the menu. Atmosphere is very cosy, and can be a nice choice for quiet conversations.

Two flies and an hour and a half later.....food at the boathouse
1 The waitress took some of our orders for our table of 18. And then said that she had to go to another table and take their orders because they're a big table. Somehow half of our table got our orders taken and the other half didn't
2 We got here at 5:30 and the orders were finally put in by 6:30. It was 702 and the entrée still have not come out.
3 They were going to put bread on the table and bread was not placed there. After repeated requests.
4. One of the families there had two children and in order was put in for all the meals at once and only the kids meals came out, which meant that there was a really cranky three-year-old at the table. I'm too pissed off parents.
5 The staff seemed really confused about where orders were supposed to go.
6. We started out with one waitress and ended with another.
7. We we actually had to ask for the table to be bussed. Stuff kept accumulating.
8 My soup was cold and we're still sitting here at 7:02 and the meals haven't come.
7 There was a fly in my nieces apple spritz. A silverfish in my water. See photo below They ran out of lava cake and potato hash. Because they took so long taking our order everything was eaten by others.
Yes it's Christmas Day but they should've been prepared for this. It's like they got temporary workers to come in and work this shift when they never in a restaurant ever.
This meal was 80 bucks a person. We would've gotten better service at a McDonald's drive-through at least you would've had food to eat.
. I definitely do not recommend super annoying.

I used to work in restaurants both frt and back of house. We were a table of 18 on the weekend morning and it was dead. They knew we were coming for a very special occasion.
Food: kitchen know what they are doing: mussels and seafood cooked perfectly. All the other food.came out seasoned and cooked properly. A few mis-steps: mussels were not de-bearded...really detracts from dining experience. Seafood stew came out lukewarm whicj may be the kitchen firing too early or wait staff waiting too long for entire food order to be ready before serving.
Service: Overall..Ok but: 1 server for 18 ppl is far, far understaffed. Table maintence was too slow as was order taking. Yes you have expediters for food but if they are standing around...help out. Server forgot to enter an entee and someone left waiting too long but the server owned up to it and comped a soup.
These issues can and should easily be addressed by management who was pretty hands off on our table. They were busy on their phone standing around...maybe it was work related but make sure things are running properly before you zone out.
