Update: As of Feb 28 no response from anyone at DQ. I’ve seen a lot—but this one made me pause. I pulled through the drive-through, excited for my meal, and there it was: a mop or broom handle laid across the service counter, right next to a bright yellow cleaner. The end of the tool wasn’t fully visible, but it was unmistakably on the surface where food and drinks are handed out. It’s one of those moments that makes you stop mid-order and think, “Wait… is this really happening?” Watching a cleaning tool rest on a food surface is not just unappetizing—it raises real questions about sanitation practices. I grabbed my food, but I couldn’t shake the unease.
