Time to go to Safeway because I've been going for years and years with no issue. I went in today to pick up ciggarettes and groceries when I was denied purchase because I "wasn't 21" hm... remind if I'm wrong but we're in Canada BC where the legal age for tobacco purchase is 19 and I'm 20, just a month short of 21 aswell. I was denied service from both employees at customer service when the sign they have at the counter states tobacco purchase is 19. I will no longer be coming here if they think they can change the law and refuse my 3 valid legal identifications.

Customer service claims I can't return something on an item, as it says in the receipt I get AFTER I buy the item. Then blames it on being a 3rd party vendor. When I tell them that it is their responsibility to protect me from being scammed at their store, they say, not really. So basically buyers beware. Rarely less empathetic customer service.

I used to walk here almost every second day with my kids and dog, but ever since the Pet Parker was removed, that’s no longer possible. Now I just drive to Superstore on my way home from work instead. It’s really disappointing to see such a great piece of customer service taken away. The Pet Parker made Lynn Valley more walkable and inclusive for families with pets, and removing it feels like a step backwards. I really hope Lynn Valley Mall considers adding a Pet Parker somewhere nearby so the community can keep enjoying safe, accessible options for everyone.

I have been a loyal customer at this Lynn Valley location for years, largely because of the convenience and inclusivity it offered through the PetParker units. This service allowed dog owners like myself to shop comfortably while knowing our pets were safe. It was a unique community-focused feature, and it’s one of the main reasons I chose to shop here despite more affordable grocery options nearby. Unfortunately, the recent removal of both PetParker units has eliminated what made this location stand out. It’s disappointing to see the store take away a service that not only supported local customers but also strengthened its image as a community-oriented business. Without it, there is little reason for me to continue shopping here, and I will be taking my business elsewhere. A real missed opportunity for a company that positions itself as community-first.
