  This never happened with me before as the whole staff in there is very friendly but today around 8:30 i was there with my 3 years old and he (my lil boy) chose to have a baby shark balloon and ended up having another toy. I don’t know why one of the male staff who was on till service wearing black hoody and black hat was watching us the whole time and i got to know when we reached him for billing. He asked me in such a rude and weird tone “where is the balloon?” I answered that my baby wanted something else and that’s why we left the balloon by toys section. Then he in a very harsh tone asked me to take the balloon and put it back where i get it from. I found this very odd and strange because no one ever did that to me ever before and even after he didn’t stopped. His behaviour was very upsetting and made me feel that why i am inside this place. Just wanted to share my story that how people see us differently because we are person of colour. Save on foods is a great place to get the groceries and even my kids love to go there but whatever happened today, now i have to think twice before entering this place.

  Was grabbing a couple of last minute items on Christmas Eve and decided to go through the self checkout. There was a young blonde girl doing a wonderful job, cheery and positive demeanour helping an elderly couple buy a gift card. The manager on duty, in a lovely Christmas dress, I believe her name tag had tape on it that said Danielle, came over and rudely interrupted and said something along the lines of “you can pick up a few baskets too, right?” However it was a harsh and snarky tone. The girl was clearly helping that couple, and she was already running around helping myself and others *nonstop*. Meanwhile this same manager had walked right by me when I had requested help and even stopped looked me in the eyes and just kept walking. The irony. I just hope she knows she can also help customers too right? And for goodness sake it’s Christmas Eve that’s no way to treat your employees Danielle, treat them with kindness and grace always and do not publicly humiliate someone! She was literally in the middle of helping that couple! How embarrassing! I apologized on your behalf. Update: she’s not even a manager, she’s a coworker! I hope management speaks to her about how she treats her fellow coworkers! Even more heartbreaking!

  usually order from here sometimes online for home delivery and they usually always do good, but whoever the shopper was for my order substituted 2 items with western family brands when i specifically chose other brands in the (if out out items what do you want to sub it for), not cool. im sure they were other options other then western family brands of items i needed.

  I had a great experience at save on food . The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall great service . I’d definitely come back.

  Poor customer service by Danielle… instead of helping customers when there was a line up, she was cleaning the tills. This isn't the first time I've seen this behavior; on a previous visit, i observed cashiers calling for her assistance, which she ignored.I hope management will address this issue to improve customer service.
