I had a great experience at this Buy-Low location recently. A huge thank you to Diane at the checkout! I had a few questions and she was incredibly helpful, taking the time to provide me with the information I needed. It is rare to find such patient and friendly service, especially at the till.
The store is well-organized, but it’s the staff like Diane who really make it a go-to spot in Langley. I'll definitely be back!

I've been shopping at the Brookswood Buy Low since 2016, and I love it.
It's got all the essentials, and 95% of the staff are kind, patient, and helpful, which is better than most places.
Further, the staff did well during COVID, which was no one's best time.
I'd far rather shop there, my local store, than some massive box store.

When I went in and started shopping someone followed me to see what I was up to and when ringing in my newspaper the cashier pulled it apart to make sure there wasn’t something else in there.
I did not feel welcome
Guess I shouldn’t wear a trench coat?

I was furious seeing how much Pattison’s wealth increased during the pandemic while everyday people struggled with food costs. Now learning about the reported sale of a Pattison Group property to ICE seals it for me. I won’t support his businesses anymore. I choose to spend my money on actual community minded companies.
**Update**
The sale of the property did eventually collapse, but only after intense and sustained public pressure. This included planned protests at business locations across Canada, a large-scale letter-writing campaign urging Canadian MPs to investigate Canadian companies doing business with ICE, a civilian boycott of all companies owned by The Jim Pattison Group, and a formal letter from the union representing workers at a JPG grocery chain stating they would strike if the sale proceeded. A major advertising firm (Point Blank) that works with JPG also publicly announced it would sever all ties with JPG companies if the deal went through.
At the local level, residents of Hanover County, Virginia - the site of the property - flooded a town hall meeting to voice their outrage at the prospect of such a facility being opened in their community. This public response led the Board of Supervisors to vote down the proposed use of the building and to issue a statement to state and federal representatives opposing the sale.
Only after all of this - two days after the town hall in Hanover - did JPG release a single-line statement confirming the deal would not proceed: “The transaction to sell our industrial building in Ashland, Virginia will not be proceeding.”
They were willing to do the business and profit from an unthinkable deal… just not willing to be seen doing it.
Way overpriced. Everything must contain gold. Tired of the greed. Unnecessary. Your store front says "low low prices". That is such a lie fake advertising.
