I really love the store the service is great the people are friendly. Why are there advertising signs on the road in front of the store. It's a fire lane.

One of two local grocery stores. Both are quite good. Wes is our favorite cashier. One big negative are the two in the meat area like cutters. Very annoyed when you ask for help. We love the Woodgrove Save on if we need that service or the competitor Country Grocer in Ladysmith.

I want to start by saying that the staff at this location have always been friendly and helpful, so none of this reflects on them personally. I used to shop at Save‑On‑Foods every day and genuinely felt good about supporting local produce and Island-made products. Unfortunately, during the summer, I fell at the entrance due to uneven pavement and suffered a serious injury. A year and a half later, I still struggle to put weight on my foot and have been told I may never be able to run again for the rest of my life. This has had a profound impact on my daily life. I reported the incident and followed up multiple times, hoping for a straightforward and fair resolution. Instead, I was told the store would not accept responsibility and that I needed to deal with a third‑party company. The process felt confusing and counterintuitive, especially since the third party is hired by Save‑On‑Foods and does not operate like a neutral decision-maker or legal authority. I was left feeling dismissed and unsupported. I’m sharing my experience so others can be cautious around the entrance area, and in the hope that the company reviews its approach to customer safety and injury response. Again, I want to emphasize that the staff have always been wonderful; my concern is with how the situation itself was handled.

Bring your own Knife. What a scam. Advertising $6.99 with 1500 points used, or,,,, $8.99each, for 1/2 of the chicken. Do you see a half chicken here? Went to check out and the chicken was $13.99+taxes for about $15.00 total. Very dishonest advertising.
