Bring your own Knife. What a scam. Advertising $6.99 with 1500 points used, or,,,, $8.99each, for 1/2 of the chicken. Do you see a half chicken here? Went to check out and the chicken was $13.99+taxes for about $15.00 total. Very dishonest advertising.

It is killing me not to select a one or two star review, as this is my least favourite grocery store in the area. Save On is overpriced, the veggie section is often tired and moldy, and the aisle organization makes no sense.
HOWEVER, I can't bring myself to dock even a single star for the transgression of being a mid-island chain (and I can't fault them for the confusing layout because it's actually on brand with Ladysmith's road planning) because the staff here deserve nothing less than the full five stars.
It's not just once or twice that I've been impressed by a standout employee; I've lived here two years now and all the staff have consistently been wonderful. It's like the Hallmark film sets forgot to pack up their mythical small town community charm when they were done shooting
To the staff: thank you for putting up with my chaos, and in particular, helping me find my keys in the dog treats tonight. I'll see you next time I have to re-traumatize myself by the overinflated cost of groceries in this country. Until then, may the odds be ever in your favour.

Seriously double the price as most places. They complain about struggling Canadian businesses then charge us twice as much.
