- TTTamaraApr 6, 20263.0My first impression was that there was no smell, it didn't smell like food was being cooked. We were there about 2:30-3:00 pm. This restaurant could use an update for decor, just gives off older late 99's/early 2000 vibes. Plastic coverings over some of the furniture for protection- i get you want to protect form spills or smells but it looks very tacky, plastic broken chandelier type lights. Service was good and waitress was friendly but there was only 2 other tables dining in the whole place. Food was...meh. Fettuccine Alfredo tastes from a jar, not nothing like homemade taste, chicken tastes and looks like its has come frozen from a box and reheated or kept in water, we didnt eat it. We did call ahead and verify there were gluten friendly options as we have someone with celiac and they were reassuring with this. Portion sizes have definelty decreased, even compared to other ESM and for the price you pay. Positives- good service, Italian wedding soup was good as always and love the bread! But I think on our next trip, we will look for something with a little more homemade and fresh ingredients.

I've never had a bad experience in any of their locations, in fact I've had the best experiences in the Cranbrook location. Go on down, grab a bite, sip a brio and Mangia Mangia!

Also, when the food arrived, I noticed that the portion size you recieve was not as I remembered in the past. They were a lot smaller. Food was good though.
